Not fair to analyze either pitching or hitting with wood bats. The wood bats help the pitching averages and hurt batting averages.

Who is going to be the hitting coach for us again? I'm pumped about the pitching, but I hope Mainieri knows what he is doing with our hitting. Hitting was the problem all year.

Rumbelow pitched a great game tonight but took a tough loss as he didn't get much run support and an unearned run was the difference in a 3-2 game.

My god the hitting is doing terribly. Katz was batting like .350 a week ago. Now he's down to .226!

my mouth is hanging open looking at those numbers too ... nola and hanover -- obvious leaders next season -- jump right off of the page .. dunno why those guys would be struggling ... but, then again, remember how our guys were tearing up the baseball summer leagues in 2009 after the NC .. in fact, johnny dishon was putting up johnny damon numbers .. he fizzled in 2010 and that team didn't do a whole lot in 2010 .. so, we'll see ..

You mean 2 for 22? Either way, god damn Edward.

Rumbelow 14K Night

I think he's trying to send a message saying he's got some good stuff.

Hell...I'd almost give him a start over Eades right now. They're both doing excellent.

He better be the W night starter...don't let those little teams get any cheap wins against us.

K pitcher is kind of guy you want coming out of bullpen, I also remember the bomb he gave up to UK

I think a newcomer will be midweek starter - like Cody Glynn or Carson Baranik (if he regains velocity - went from 95 to high 80's during sr year)

I'd rather have him throwing long stints that way if we need him later in the year as a starter then he's used to going the distance.

Hell he could have a huge fall and may even take a weekend spot away from someone(although I doubt it). He's got a lot of upside...just hope we get to see him.

I'd rather him in the bullpen also, with Berry and hopefully Goody. Develop Nola or Glenn as the 4th starter.

Interesting. Hard to really judge this based on the bats they use. I'd like to see hitting really pick it up this summer. Bruno needs to lower his SO, he is getting drilled so far. Hopefully Ross picks his hitting up this year, so far, pretty good. Nola and Hanover need to pick it up, they will be major leaders next year on the team.

I love the pitching stats! Our bullpen can get us to Omaha!! It wont be the LSU way, power hitting, but it can still get us there nonetheless.

Texas, Florida, Virginia, Vandy, etc...
