I hate when parents think their kids are better than they really are. It starts in tee ball and I guess it never ends. What round in the draft are we? O 37th enough said
Cotton makes New York Penn League All-Stars
Not bad for a former walk on
LINK

The purpose of this post is to show how Cotton an ex Tiger is doing in his professional career. Not what could have been.

These are the same posters that said Cotton wouldn't be around for his sophomore or junior year preseason. Also the ones that said he couldn't be a closer
Holder easy first team. Webb and Cotton toss up for second team. Webb more saves and slightly better era
Does this mean they will play a full 9 innings

I would think low ceiling college pitchers that project in the bullpen would be good pick ups there. They can be quick risers as righty or lefty specialists, and it's even better if they don't cost a whole lot.

With that being said what chance does Cotton have getting drafted with a below 90's fastball

re: Aaron Nola on Team USA...

Nola is also on the College Hall of Fame pitcher of the year watch list along with Eades and Cotton. LINK

K-to-BB Ratio
Aaron Nola - 6.20 (42nd in Nation, 4th in SEC)
Ryan Eades - 3.92 (6th in SEC)

I know Chris Cotton doesn't have enough innings to register for this stat but his 25K to 1BB is just sick.
Jacoby is probably more true American than 95% of the people posting. On his mom's side of the family
If this is all the pitchers we have traveling I hope we don't have any extra inning games

Travel roster Position players: Ty Ross, Chris Chinea, Mason Katz, Tyler Moore, JaCoby Jones, Casey Yocom, Alex Bregman, Christian Ibarra, Raph Rhymes, Chris Sciambra, Mark Laird, Andrew Stevenson, Alex Edward, Sean McMullen, Jared Foster Pitchers: Aaron Nola, Ryan Eades, Cody Glenn, Chris Cotton, Joey Bourgeois, Nick Rumbelow, Brent Bonvillain, Kevin Berry, Russell Reynolds

That can't be all on the travel team still have 3 spots available
The roster has 33 players listed. I know Broussard and McCune are injured and Sewald has not pitched but that still leaves 3 excess spots. Reynolds only pitched 2 innings Wednesday so I would assume he is traveling. Is there a list that LSU provides for the traveling roster?

I think he looks more like Jason Biggs

Spot on. I love these also
How we do against Mississippi State in Starkville will say a lot about how good this team really is
Could someone tell me how a pitcher is awarded the win for a game. Last night Berry came in with LSU leading and pitched the 7th and 8th. LaMarche pitched the 5th and part of the 6th. Why was Berry awarded the win and not LaMarche?
Who said we need to play better competition. I think our RPI speaks for itself

re: Cotton a "self-made pitcher"

I think what he means is that he is not physically gifted and does not throw in the 90's like a lot of SEC pitchers. But has worked his butt off to learn his craft and not only make this team but be a very important part of it I think he is a pitcher not a thrower like a lot of pitcher are now
