That strikeout pitch to Lanier (?) was filthy.
What a moment!
What a moment!

I will never forget where I was when Morris launched that shot.
I stayed at home that day with my best friend to watch the game because the rest of my family went with my parents to watch my younger brother pitch/play in a tournament. He was 15 at the time. I think they played three games on that day. So me and friend are pissed we are down 7-4 at the end of the 6th, we hear from my parents my bro will pitch the next game, so we decide to listen to the game and head to the park. As we drive the 7th and 8th innings happen and we are bemoaning the fact we left the house. We get to the park in time for the ninth, pay our money to get in and run to find my parents. The park was one of those covered concession stand in the middle, 4 baseball fields surrounding jobs, and they had 4 TVs in each corner of the concession stand. The bottom of the ninth was starting as we walk up and everyone including my parents have started walking under the concession stand to watch the last inning. By the time Lanier strikes out, the games have actually stopped. The players and umps are pressed up against the fence behind each backstop and literally everyone in the place, probably over 250-300, are dead still, shoulder to shoulder, watching to see what happens.
Then boom. Morris hits the first pitch and freaking hysteria ensues. I was screaming and jumping and highfiving and hugging people I didn’t even know for a good minute. It was insane and something I will never forget. I am not upset that I left the house.
And any true hardcore fan knows Wilson was on third.

I was 9 years old, watching it with my dad at home. It is one of those moments I'll never forget. One of many wonderful father-son sports moments I have, but it's certainly one of the best.

Warren Morris should have his number retired.

I was at my then girlfriend, now wife's apartment at Sharlo. She had the flu or a Summer cold and felt like trash, but she was still watching the game with me. By the time we got to the ninth, she was just as into the game as I was.
I'll never forget when Morris hit the shot. I started hearing cars honking and people yelling and went outside. It was like the entire city spontaneously combusted. Everyone was running out of their apartments yelling and screaming. People were hanging out of car windows yelling "Geaux Tigers."
Then my poor wife pretty much passed out. She got a little too into the game and was down for several days after. We both still remember it as the best sports moment we've ever seen. It was pretty incredible.

One of my best childhood memories was watching that game at my grandmother's house. Everyone running around the house freaking out when he hit that ball

Literally jumped into brother in law's arms. Can't believe its been 20. Also, after that video it shows all the great game finishes at LSU. That was some stressful shite we went through.
