LSU got screwed on the finally tally. It was clearly cooked to give it to Oklahoma.

Good opening meet. Couldn’t have asked for better opportunity. A chance to have Konnor on the beam with chance to win it.

Jay has had enough with biased judges. Love that he stood up for his team!

Anyone that believed they weren't going to massage the scoring to benefit OU is living in a fantasy world. I don't know a ton about gym but I have never seen this.

Those judges knew damn well what they were doing by judging Konnor so harshly. They knew.

frickers are always cooking for Oklahoma. Always.

I swear Lexi had 9.9 and 9.85, that's what the judges held up, for a 9.875. was wrong for 15 minutes on scoredboard and then they only corrected to a 9.85. Assuming the judge actually scored a 9.8 and that's why her final score was 9.85?

Same rule in the regional finals three years ago allowed them to advance to the finals.

Wish it could’ve just stayed tied. The tie breaker killed with the low floor & vault score that had to be counted.

I’m not even mad tbh. That’s the best opening meet score and performance in years

And Amari/Konnor had some mistakes on routines we usually get 9.9s from

If you tie Oklahoma in gymnastics that means you really won. The over scores for Oklahoma are obvious-even their low scores are over scored.

For the RQS scores it is the same even though OU gets to claim the meet win correct?

Yes.
Florida scored 197.725 yesterday. Not sure if it was home or away. They could be a pain this year.

*NQS and yes. It’s counted as one of our away scores and same for Oklahoma. The benefit of this meet being a tie score wise for us though is that with the way the system is now set up, teams now count ALL away scores (with one in state meet being counted as an away score), and only your 3 lowest home scores. Regardless of who wins the dual meet in February against us and OU, if it’s not one of their 5 lowest home scores, it gets dropped in their NQS for post season BUT we get to count our podium challenge even with it being in the same state, AND the dual meet as away meets, which will likely both be scored high for us

Florida was home but only the 5 LOWEST home scores count towards NQS now and the rest are away scores with the overall highest and lowest being dropped of the 9 total then averaged out. The NCAA has approved an earlier proposal to limit the number of neutral-site meets within 30 miles of a team’s home campus that can be counted as away meets. If a team has more than one such meet on its schedule, only one will be counted as an away meet, with the excess being designated as home contests, with conference championships being excluded from this rule

No, there wasn’t.
That was a practice/exhibition that wasn’t scored.

I don’t think the Tigers stuck more than 3 landings all day. Stick more landings and this thing is an LSU runaway. But this has been an issue for a while. We typically don’t start sticking most of our landings until halfway through the season. OU sticks from the get go. The fact that we were so close to them despite that suggests that we are the more talented squad.
