To be honest, Florida has been great, but LSU has been so underscored that it's maddening.

Way to come back from disaster. Home cooked scoring is real in the SEC

Silver lining in this is the girls got a REALLY good road score which is crucial to the rankings.

LSU has now averaged nearly 198.2 over it's last 5 meets.

We are ready to compete for a national title.

Imagine if one of the 1st 2 bar routines had been a 9.9 (as is often the case) instead of 9.7/9.3. Different outcome ??

Yes only if the 9.3 was a 9.9.

Then that adds 0.2 to our score and we lost by .125. We would have won by .075.

So we needed that 9.3 to be a 9.85 to win outright.

LSU may not have won the meet but that is an excellent score.

Someone needs to tell several of the girls to bend their knees on dismounts to hold the stick. Several of the girls would have stuck dismounts in doing this. It could have made a difference in the meet tonight. Proud to have a good road score. Not sure Florida can count that high "home score" for NQS.
It is their highest overall score.

Yep 357 and it could be the their home advantage that allowed their best score of the season.

Wow. Sounds like the National Championship winning coach should hire you as an assistant coach!

Can confirm: they cannot count this score and now only have 1 198+ score counting for their NQS (198.050) whereas we have now 3 we can count, including this 198.325 (which replaces our home 198.325 in NQS counted scores). If we can hit just as well or slightly better next week at home, we will be able to count both of the 198.325’s we’ve had so far this year

Exactly what does our NQS do for us? We already host a regional, correct? Does the NQS just matter for national ranking? What determines our draw for nationals?

The NQS determines the ceding for the tournament, which includes the regional. All of which are shaping up to be brutal.

4 scores. Drop high and low. That would probably be fair.

Landing with straight legs combined with a little too much power can cause the gymnast to take a step. Judges are taking deductions on dismounts that are not stuck landings.
