1) we can't make our guys hang around to be drafted 1st round 2) i don't think any of those 14 are from Louisiana, short of recruiting every recruit of Alabama AND somehow getting them IDK what we are supposed to do.

How dare you use reason/logic on this forum. Don't you know raw emotion rules the day.

I know we have put more players in the NFL in the last decade than anyone. The first round guys get all the hype and deservedly so. This is the trend that LSU has to change...

Just to reiterate this point...we are now forced to complain that while we HAVE put more guys in the NFL over the last decade than any other program we have ONLY put SIX first rounders in the past 4 seasons.

And this is cause not only for concern, but anger?

Honestly...does anyone else feel this place does more harm than good to the psyche of the average LSU fan?

You have to be able to cut though the BS, known that we have some fake LSU fans running wild here, and have a sense of humor.

My "psyche" is fine here cause I know I am experiencing the greatest period of LSU football EVER no matter what others might post to the contrary.

Ehh, wed have more if our players stayed. Add guys like tm7, chris faulk and Ruben randle wed have 3 more. Chris just unlucky, randle still got drafted in round 2 and tm7 is playing like a first rounder.

Ehh, a bunch of those from Bama were underclassmen. Every school can make hypothetical arguments.

The better 2nd contract for LSU players illustrates that they weren't developed as well as they could've been coming out of college. I love Les Miles. It's almost unfair to compare any coach to what Saban does. It's hard, but fair.

7 of those were Saban recruits, can't give Mr Miles credit for those

so please edit out any bama player that was drafted first round prior to 2010, because they were Shula's recruits

So does LSU have the same level of talent as bama over the past 5 yrs?

It's either, "LSU does not have the talent/player development and, therefore, does not have the same championship results"

OR, "LSU has the same level of talent/player development, however, does not have the same championship results"

Can't have it both ways.

Given the population and number of high quality high school players produced in GA if I were a UGA fan I would be more concerned about not even making the list. They sure don't compete with G Tech or other in-state programs for the players they want, that is pitiful. Their QB is from FL, Gurley and Marshall are both from out of state, how do they rake out of state top level talent and not win MNCs? Rhetorical Q. Saban is going to be on top until he quits or becomes feeble. Not saying LSU can't compete, but there seem to be a lot of holes in the annual talent base produced in LA when trying to complete an entire team of above average or better players.

Rolando Mclain was a 1st round pick (2011) and is now flipping burgers.

Wow! I thought the NFL picked for more than one round. Hey genius, LSU currently has more players in the NFL than any other team. Look it up, then get back to us.

Also, reasonable first round shots this season at this point:

Collins
Landry
OBJ
Hill

Distant option is Mett

Mett has a better chance than any of them, really.

It's not about player development because if it was, most Bama first rounders wouldn't be so fricking terrible in the NFL. The Pros still haven't realized how shitty Bama players are til they have them. Maybe 5 out of 14 are considered good-great compared to 5 out of 6 that are good-superstar for LSU.

If recruits see this they should know that they would have a more stable career playing at LSU than an upfront "bonus" for becoming a human fake ad.

That all depends on whether or not he finds a way to stop with the fricking Ints he's been throwing like crazy in the last two games.

It doesn't show that. It shows that scouts and pro team managers and owners are still dumbasses. Four QBs went in the first round a few years back, 3 in the top 12. All have been benched multiple times, traded at least twice, or just continue to be horrible, or are backups. Mingo ROOKIE, Brockers last year, ROOKIE, Peterson 2 years ago ROOKIE, Eric Reid ROOKIE. All have had or are having incredible rookie careers. All are in the top 5 or 10 of stat leaders for their positions.

It's amusing to me that Miles leads the SEC in wins, is undefeated in regular season OOC play, and has LSU ranked in the Top 3 in BCS football in wins for going on to 9 yrs and we have those still talkin' "luck" and what Nick did at LSU.

Saban has more SEC wins and total Wins while an SEC coach than Miles, so not sure where you are getting your numbers. If you want to say that is the number since 2005, how about since 2007? Pretty sure Saban wins that one too.

Miles is a good coach, but it amazes me how people like these convenient stats. How about looking at the average wins per season for coaches at their current jobs of 5 or more years. That is more telling.

10(2)
Roberto McClain-total bust
Kareem Jackson-has been ok
11(3)
Marcell Dareus-Has been solid
James Carpenter-Solid player
Mark Ingram-bust
12(4)
Trent Richardson- has been ok
Mark Barron-has been solid
Dre Kirkpatrick-still unknown, but doesn't look like anything will come from him
Donta Hightower-has been solid for New England
13(3)
Dee Miliner-has done much this year
DJ Fluker-possibly SD best o-line man
Chance Warmack-I haven't watched Tennessee

I only have 13 so i must be missing someone, but please tell where is the dominant player in this list?

No school has more wins since 05 and though the 2012 season than LSU but for Boise St and I don't personally count them cause they were not BCS till recently.

Saban does not have more SEC wins from 2007 though 2012.

The Miles record of accomplishments at LSU is the very best we have ever seen. What is truly amazing is that LSU/Miles is having this record success at the very same time that the SEC is the very best in the college game.

Nick is a great coach and I thank him for his efforts, but he didn't want to be here and he kicked LSU to the curb.

It's time some let their love affair with Nick go and move on much as he did.

Heck, there was segment on espn the other day saying scouts around the league have started to say the Bama recruits are more prone to injury and breakdown because Nick bust there arse so much while at Bama.
