What gives this year with all the homers? Did they change the seams on the balls again?

BBCOR tech is better. Balls are 100% hotter, they are in the MLB too

I stand corrected. You are right. Fla
St/UNC winner could beat them twice and eliminate them in the semis.

Yep started with Warren's homer in 1996, then 70 games in 1997 and ended after 6 games in 1998.
It also included that Alabama debacle of a game (2-28 loss) but we won the one that counted.

Tennessee is play the best all around ball in the country.
They have not only quality pitching but have bats ready every game.
Not sure I see anyone beating them twice.
Our squad last year could but there are no teams left that come close to that talent we had.

Can someone better at math tell me if Tennessee, who now has 166 home runs, has a chance to break the 97 record of 188? Thank you.
22 home runs needed to tie...doing that in 5 games is a heavy lift. Especially with the way the wind is blowing in Omaha currently.

They now have 177.
This was posted after their last game. Looks like they’re 12 away from the record. Need them to lose their next two in low scoring games.

Ahh, I didn't realize how old this post was. Yeah I still don't see them hitting 12 more in Omaha...or winning it all which is what really matters.
Also LSU's record that year was 57-13, Tennessee is currently at 57-12 so unless they hit 12 tomorrow the HR/G record is safe.

Tomorrow they’ll face scraps from the bullpen of the losers bracket “winner”. They could easily hit 4 or 5 against them. If they should lose tomorrow they’ll face an ace which helps. Win that one and they get at least two more games. It’s going to come down to the wire I’m afraid. Really hoping for gale force winds from the outfield the rest of the series.

They've hit 2 in each of their first two games. The most games they have left is 5, with the possibility of it being only 3 if they don't lose. Ironically, success gives them less of a chance to break the record.
12 more HRs in even 5 games is asking a lot in a park not know for giving up a ton of HRs. But if they play 5 more games it is possible. Anything less probably makes it a long shot.

Looking pretty safe here, even if the finals goes 3 games.

I hope they start trying to hit homers in the finals, lose the finals and don't get the record

Posted on 6/19/24 at 5:34 pm to bradygolf98
And they just hit another

5 guys with at least 20 homeruns is ridiculous

Our record is safe, relax.

Short field and a juiced radar gun at Lindsey Nelson. Snead hasn’t come close to “101” in both appearances in Omaha.

Yeah they'd have to hit 11 in the finals to break it. Very unlikely.
