People are saying the wind will be blowing in. Is there any chance the wind direction could change?

Not for Saturday at least.

24 mph winds at 6pm. 100 degrees. Blowing in from right field

Tomorrow we are in 117. Not sure about Sunday yet.
One day we are sitting between home & 1st base. The other it’s between home and 3rd base.

Starting to wonder if they move the Sunday game to the evening. High of 101 on Sunday. That’s pretty dangerous and horrible for performing in a championship series and will have just as much of a negative impact on the game as rain would have.

By some people’s logic New Orleans isn’t that hot because it is right by the Gulf

The water in the gulf is much warmer than the Atlantic. There is less breeze, and it’s warm. South LA is basically tropical. It’s where humidity comes from on this part of the world.

Have some of you been to south carolina? This place is literally a swamp too. There is a coast, but 25-30 miles on doesn’t matter.

Yeah, it’s hot and muggy, we get it. But it’s not as hot as south LA. The thing that makes it so hot here is how unrelenting it is for basically 120 days straight. If you look at the last 2 weeks weather, SC has had some acceptable weather at times, we won’t see that again until maybe late September in LA. It’s a grind without much relief or anywhere to escape it. I know this sounds argumentative, but believe me the super regional weather was straight up brutal, if you can play in that you are battle tested.

Likewise, I don’t care what anyone says, the weather in Nebraska may be rough at times, but it’s not quite like here, despite the heat index. The shade will be tolerable and they typically have fairly consistent breeze. Sunday may indeed suck since it’s right in the middle of the day. Bad scheduling.

I’m not sure it will make a difference this weekend, sitting in the hot sun sucks for anyone no matter how used to heat you maya be. And to your point, SC heat is more similar to LA, which is humid and unrelenting which will prepare both as well as you can for Omaha this weekend.

1st base side gets the shade first. 3rd base side and outfield is going to bake Sunday. Hat and sunscreen

They have some crazy arse weather. I used to go to Omaha and Lincoln a lot for work. The coldest temp I've ever experienced (-20) was in Omaha.

I was also there once and we had to run down to the basement of a restaurant due to a large tornado passing by.

We think our weather is nuts. Damn wind was blowing 100 mph in a matter or minutes.

Better be sitting on the 1st baseline somewhere

You guys are splitting hairs. The heat and humidity will impact both teams equally.

Average June weather

Conway SC

89 high with 76% humidity

Baton Rouge LA

91 high with 75% humidity

Also Kade’s worst outing recently was when it was hot as balls. I would honestly rather have neutral weather when he is on mound

The heat will impact the pitchers most. Starters will not go as deep in the game as they otherwise would. Bullpens will be more important.
