So Jimmy and Charlie are back together on a morning show 11:00-01:00. I wonder how the ratings are doing on all of sports talk radio in this town. It seems the lineups are ever changing.

I’m sure the local shows are doing well. The national ESPN radio shows are garbage. I can’t change the channel fast enough when I get in my truck every morning at quarter to 6am.

I agree. The local radio is so much better to listen to even though some of the talking heads have obnoxious personalities!

Baton Rouge has no idea how lucky they are to have the talent they have on a wide variety of local shows for such a small market.

I would really like to know how many markets LSU’s size has 10 hours of daily sports talk shows.

This. People are spoiled and don't realize how lucky we are. And it is my understanding that ESPN "allows" us to have that many hours. Supposedly, based on the contract, we are supposed to have x hours of ESPN radio and x hours of local. They allow us to exceed the local hours because of our high ratings.

The national morning show with Keyshon, etc. is really, really a tough listen.

Yeah, I turn off Keyshawn every morning. He's the worst. Literally every sentence that comes out of his mouth is dumb.

I don't think think this move had to do with anything other than Jimmy requesting to move from the evening to day because he was tired of working evenings per his comments on air.

Probably has a lot to do with his son being in high school and wanting to attend his games.

Whatever that horseshite was that followed T-bob and Hester, I think it had Greenberg, is so hard to listen to.

The problem here is they don’t want to pay anyone with talent. So they get what they’ve paid for.

I say this all the time. I've only been in the Baton Rouge sports market for 7-8 years, prior to that all I knew was New Orleans sports coverage. It's night and day comparing BR to NO. I struggle to even listen to Saints post game shows now.

Hester, T-Bob, Hanny, Ott, Matt, Buddy, Hunt, Culotta lots of local folks to listen to. BTR has a large lineup for the market. I get everything for BTR here in Cypress, Tx. Tunein App and 104.5 App, too easy. Plus YouTube, you can catch them all.
