I think the most impressed I was tonight was in the inning after their coach got tossed and the crowd was in a frenzy, Bain going out there and filling the zone with strikes and shutting them down. Big moment for the freshman.

There's a good chance LSU's first Regional opponent will be decided Sunday afternoon. Southern is in the final of the SWAC tournament, and Grambling is likely the other team for the final. (Texas Southern would have to beat Grambling twice tomorrow to change that.)

Southern is ineligible for the NCAA postseason this year, so I think that means the Grambling-TSU survivor gets the bid.

Oh...I did not realize that. That's interesting that they even participated in the conference tournament then. Arkansas Pine Bluff won their division, but didn't participate due to sanctions. Guess they had to, otherwise it would have only been three eligible Western Division teams to partake. Ha.
But that could be interesting if it's a Southern-Grambling final, and Southern wins it. If that means Grambling gets the bid, you'd have an automatic qualifier that did not win the tourney AND has a record below .500. Texas Southern, however, is currently 10 games above .500.

Good chance Grambling could get sent here but I could also see them going to TCU or Dallas Baptist.
