quote:The SEC is definitely tougher. It's the top conference in CBB now. It was on the rise back then, but not to where it is now.
I would add, and I hate that I have to keep saying I am a Wade fan, that this SEC today is not the SEC in Wade's term.
The issue with dudes that constantly uncut Wade's achievements is that they pick and choose which criteria to judge him. The guy brought 3 different teams to the NCAAT. It's not like he caught magic in a bottle for a season or two. What he's doing at McNeese is unprecedented for that program. Sure, their competition in conference isn't comparable to the SEC, but that didn't stop them from absolutely sucking against that competition prior to Wade.
Regardless, I do get a kick out of posters bleeding all over the board every time Wade is mentioned.
Back to the game tonight, you're right also on the 3-pointers. I'm hoping we don't take 23 again tonight, and if we do, hit at least 8.

Is Vyctorius Miller going to play? Any news?
He got hurt in the Ole Miss game and was said to be day to day and it's now been 3 games?

It was pretty cringe and was better leaving it where it was - it's absolutely iconic.
Someone here probably has the video or a link to it. Maybe Ugly or S, one of long-timers. I used to have it, but cleaned out a lot of stuff.

You should bet the house on Aub -12.5 then just like that guy who said Bama was going to score 115 on us
My bad, it was Bama over 92.5 pts is free money

To get back to this year’s team, I can definitely see us stringing together 5 or 6 wins in February and getting right back on the bubble. 8-10 in the SEC for sure gets you in the NCAA tournament. 7-11 may, depending on who you beat.

Of course it turns into a Wade thread…
LSU without Reed really has a talent problem (I blame McMahon for his horrible decisions to bench Ward for Bailey and eyeing Sears as an elite SEC player), but if they fight like they did against Bama they can compete enough with anyone. A game like this they can’t win…but they have to realize their identity has to he a junkyard dog. I can respect and support a team that gives 110% and is never quitting
Problem is we play that way one game then get soft and lazy. We really didn’t play great against Bama but we made them very uncomfortable, too. If you battle like that every game you will run into wins.

Reed is the only player listed on the injury report so I'm gonna assume we will see Vyctorious in some capacity tonight

Wade consistently made the tournament, which is all I ask of lsu basketball. McMahon is nowhere close to doing that.

Pretty much I think the Ole Miss game was Jan. 11. It was an ankle sprain and initial reports were that he might even be able to play the next game, now he's missed 3 and I have not heard if he's playing tonight or not.
Does anyone ask CMM questions anymore? At all?
Follow up it was just reported he's come off the "SEC's Availability Report" and will play vs. Auburn

If someone doesn't want their replica PMAC I would possibly be willing to purchase it. I won't be able to attend the game but I grew up in the PMAC and don't want it to be replaced. It's also my birthday tomorrow so it would make for a very special gift. Thanks y'all, Geaux Tigers!

I think he's a high cieling kid and a talent. He struggled in his few SEC games to adjust to the physicality, but I think he can be a difference.
