He interviewed with media Tuesday I believe and seemed fine and was not on the injury report Wednesday night either. Thursday, Kiffin has the team do a walkthrough and Friday is back to full speed. I dont think this is gamesmanship because he would have been questionable on the initial report instead of day before the game. There's usually tv media at practice doing "scouting" for commentary for the game and they usually respect coaches and teams and dont leak stuff prior to the game. I think there was a legit injury or he aggravated his knee again , but he will play...

What are the two options here? He’s playing, or he is not.

If he was, he wouldn’t be on the injury list. Putting him there paints a target on his back unnecessarily.

If he’s not playing, he’s on the list as questionable to make them think he might play.

I am worried that he’s not playing.

Maybe Lane is playing mind games with Bama, trying to make them think he’s hobbled. But that seems odd.

I did think it was a little strange he was listed on it after not being listed on it since the week before Auburn. I agree that if it was gamesmanship, it would've been listed on the initial injury report. Listing him as questionable on the last injury report doesn't really do much good because the game plan has already been implemented by that time.

I don't know if he's injured or aggravated his injury, but it is a little strange in my opinion.

I think it's more that per rules he has to be put on the injury report is an actual injury or setback occurred and he got treatment. Like I said, media is there for promo, plus the analysts and commentators watch portions of practice too, so you cant hide that.

Not sure of you were doing a Les Miles impression, but I think he’s gotta be nicked myself. This “gamesmanship” would make no sense. Not like Bama game planned and practiced for him all this week (and some of last), then saw him on the injury report Wednesday night and changed everything Thursday. They will be prepared for him to play the entire game. If he doesn’t, even better (for them). I just don’t see what advantage Kiffin would be getting from any kind of “mind games.”

So I’m a tad concerned.

He was clearly not 100% for Auburn and that type of injury is likely to linger all season so it's not unreasonable he's on the injury list like that. He may have aggravated it even more who knows.
