Can you neanderthals try to have some patience? If we run off Kiffin because of a few losses in year 1, who are you going to get?

No one. Be patient.

I don't think anyone wants to run Kiffin off in year one. That said, the guy does not win big games. Same for Blake Baker.

I'm still high on him turning the ship around, but year one and the results fricking suck. 50 million dollar roster, half of Louisiana works on the staff, and they still can't help but shite the bed in big games. The fans have every right to be pissed off.

roster price tag? are we not spending the average costs for a roster? maybe a little above average? It's not like we are the only school spending this kind of money, and doubling and tripling the budgets of other places.

Also, we had to plug holes. If this was the roster BK left exclusively, what are we? 5-7? 6-6?

We are moving in the right direction, but everyone expecting championships in y1 is delusional and spoiled.

$50 mil doesn't buy you years of will.

Idc about the money they spend, it's not mine who cares, every team is doing the same thing so we are not alone. All that matters is that we win

The problem is that the product on the field is good enough to win championships. It is being held back by bad coaching decisions.

Chasing points and coaching as if you are behind is a bad game plan.

Should have gone for it on 4th and 1 in Kentucky to ice the game. Should not have gone for it on multiple 4th and 4+ situations at home either not down or only down by a small margin early in the game to actually put your team behind the eight ball.

Shockingly, it isn’t the o line or the d line holding LSU back. It’s boneheaded coaching decisions.

I didn’t expect to be this good year one. But we are and we’re squandering it by Kiffin making bad choices

It’s not the losses, it’s the boneheaded decisions that lead to these losses that make me wonder what we signed up for with Kiffin.

We have one of the best offenses and defenses by the numbers in the country.

Our interior o line is bad. Our defensive tackles are young and we lack depth there.

Still, “shockingly,” not holding us back.

How a person can admit the offensive line is bad, but then say it’s not holding the team back is beyond me.

Offensive line is the most important unit on the field.

Who the frick is paying attention and will hire Kiffin right now? Seriously? LOL

I was his absolute biggest advocate here during the coaching search last year and about came all over myself when he took the job, but he can’t win big games with a $50,000,000 roster and that’s changed my perception of him quickly.

Correct. We should still only have one loss. That’s my point.

So, fine. It’s holding us back from being the premier team in football.

Kiffin and Weis can more or less scheme around the shortcomings at o line, which is a testament to their coaching ability and shows that Kiffin and co are the right hires.

Yet the biggest difference between winning and losing the three games we have lost isn’t the o line. It’s in game decisions made by Kiffin on 4th down, as you summed up so well in your thread.

We are a one loss team without these coaching decisions despite the o line, so, I say again, it isn’t the o line holding us back this year

First of all, nobody's running Lane kiffing off.

Secondly, who is we? You have no ability to impact the decisions of the athletic department. Why are you reacting to the emotions of a message board?

patience

When the dust settles on the season, we may well be 0-5 or 1-4 against every ranked team we play.

That is unacceptable with this roster

I don’t care what year it is.
