It’s crazy how different this defense is when their in man vs zone

They’re one of the best defenses in the country when in man and flat out pedestrian in zone. Hope baker allows the guys to hunt goin forward

the issue is that we have a tissue soft defensive front that can't rush the passer. we have to blitz to get pressure. 0 blitzes are tough way to live on defense

Let DBU be DBU. They don’t get to being DBU by playing zone. The only time this zone crap stops anything is when the offense stops themselves.

It’s all in personnel
If they’re fast aggressive and athletic then yes man to man is more ideal
Even then you still should run zone on occasions to see how your team can perform when the situation is right

with pressure. Man defense requires making the QB thrown out of timing. We are a very good man to man defense and 2 high zone should only be called in certain 3rd/4th and very long situations.

Except for the fact that 1 and 99 are the best sack duo in the nation (at least according to what said during the game)
I believe we also had 23 sacks in 6 games coming in to today
