Thats what you're supposed to do to an opponent like McNeese. You get up big in the 1st half and let your backups get live reps in the 2nd half. That's how you build depth and see who can be a contributor on the back half of this season and going into next season.

I was at the Rice game. I was 10 years old and I remember Hokie Gaian running a kickoff back for a touchdown. We won 77-0

We dropped in the rankings after this game btw. Because Ohio St was a more "complete" team per the analysts. We were up 31-7 at half and it was the week following the epic Bama game and the defense admittedly loafed in the 2nd half but the game had already been won by that point. The offense kept scoring so it's not like OM ever threatened to win anyway.
