Gotta win the turnover battle against good teams, and need to keep it close against subpar teams. Kentucky is somewhere in between, but 2-0 isn’t cutting it.

Defense held them to 27 in regulation. Is it great? No. But we would expect a Lane Kiffin offense to score more than 27 just about every game. That’s why we hired him

(Edit: 20 by the D and 7 more from ST* forgot about the punt return)

QB HAS to get control of the ball or we need to look for a better option

Did our defense cause any turnovers? That’s part of the problem.

The DC CONSTALTY gives up points before half with soft arse coverage and make Kentucky look like a top tier team. Sam’s turnovers were bad but Baker is cheeks in prime time against teams with a pulse.

It was a team loss, but you had a lead with less than 2:00 and they blew it. You went up 7 in OT and they blew it. Then they gave you one more chance to get a stop on the 2 point and they completely blew it.

That’s a lot of failure.

Blake Baker makes his reputation against bad offense and gets embarrassed every time he goes up against an offense with a pulse

Defense also allowed Kentucky to easily move down the field against that lame prevent defense Baker ran. We didn’t even try to cover anyone. So yes - I’m pissed at the DC. He did a terrible job at the end of both halves. And its not like it is the first time he has cratered in a game.

Then maybe the defense should get a turnover. Btw it isn't just this game. Look at OM game...end of first half, end of game...couldn't stop them. KY...end of first half, end of regulation, OT. This D, led by baker, can't stop a decent team when they need a stop. This d isn't elite. Baker isn't elite.

Agrees. Also, #5 is scared to tackle.

The turnovers led to zero points

At the end if the first half and on the 2 point conversion, everyone watching besides Baker and the LSU team knew it was QB draw.

Neither turnover amounted to any points by Kentucky so this argument is moot

They didn't score on the turnovers. Like wut

Every situation they needed the defense to stop Kentucky's offense, they didn't

One of them came with 4 minutes left to play on a second down, in field goal range.

Also, the other team not scoring after a turnover is usually seen as a credit to the defense.

The offense had the ball twice with the lead and less than 5 minutes to play and managed to only run off 2 minutes.
