I want to go to Bama, but just in case they can’t fit me in the class, I’m committing to LSU early so I’ll have a spot.

This is 2019. Boutte is playing Bama to screw with their numbers.

Maybe just posturing or some sort of leverage, but I have been told his mother has indicated he wants to go to Bama, and I have roots in NI

I no longer let recruiting affect me, just try to keep up with names and positions, so just passing that along in case someone cares.

It was firsthand info

Could it be that some of these highly rated commits have a silent agreement with O where they agree to string Saban along as much as possible and force bama to misallocate resources?

Glad to see someone has it figured out. Amazing !

Boutte was an absolute stud against Denham Springs last week. By far the best player on field and was unstoppable.

nah

But, if you are LSU, you might go elephant hunting and see if you can hook a really highly rated recruit. If you somehow make that happen, you let this kid go.

But, as it stands, it's in LSU's best interest to keep recruiting this kid.

exactly, if he says he's 50/50... take him at his word. Keep recruiting him like he's our one and only, but go ahead and get his replacement lined up.

If you can't find one, take your chances.

If you do, he took his.

That IS the game. And those statements do cut both ways.

I think a lot of these kids just want to keep their stars up and the best way to do that is keep yourself available to some degree.

Well that doesn't work in our favor.

After some carful thought on this situation, I think he is only saying he is 50/50 so he will get the red carpet treatment in Tuscalosea. Then again, who knows? What I know for sure is Drew Brees with this offense never had a HOF WR and only a very few that made the pro bowl. Point is you don't need superstar players to make this offense work, you just need a guy who can run and catch. And the state of Louisiana puts out a lot of players every year who can run and catch. I'd like to know what Boutte is telling O and staff in private. Because if it's really 50/50 I'd imagine O told him, "if you shop, we shop."

Bama can promise him the world, but they can't give him anything on the field that we can't match anymore. He's going to play early no matter where he goes. This is more of a scared move on bama's part in fear of what LSU is becoming. It's no coincidence they are full court pressing Jarrett and Boutte.

When he sees us light up that Bama defense he will be back on board. Not really sure he isn’t still on board.

He’s the number 4 player in the country according to 247 and I think he could jump pat Clemson QB by end of season. He has had amazing stats against ELITE competition every week

I think Bama has more to offer just because Burrow and Tua wil be gone next year and bama has the number 4 player in country coming in to play quarterback next year. That’s extremely attractive as a recruit

I would argue it's more attractive to play with a guy in Brennan who will be in his fourth year in the program over a true freshman who needs time to develop.
