24/7 had him as an athlete. Not a qb

Yes, there was a debate by some but Josh Booty was the unanimous #1 QB in America that cycle. Peyton was #2. Josh Booty had incredible arm strength, Peyton did not. Josh was easily a better athlete as well. Josh’s ceiling was considered much higher thus why he was ranked ahead of Peyton.

Russell Shepard was the highest rated Qb ever signed by LSU and Miles wasted him.

Miles didn't waste him, lol. Let's not be a revisionist. Shepard came in and didn't take over and it was learned very quickly that he didn't have the arm to play QB in the SEC. It's not that Miles just wanted him to he a wide receiver/ running threat. Miles would've loved for everything to work out and for Russel Shepard to truly come in and take over the position like the #1 QB recruit in the nation should. Hell, he started Jordan Jefferson and Anthony Jennings.

YES!

DBs are a dime a dozen. Elite QBs are not.

Not true. Booty, as good as he was, wasn’t even a top 5 QB in the ratings

Booty was named the USA Today Offensive Player of the Year and was named the National High School Player of the Year by at least six associations, including Parade and the Football News.

Booty was named to the All-Time National High School All-American team by Dick Butkus. Joe Namath, and John Elway were the other two QB's mentioned on the All-Time team.
Bill Walsh saw him in the 8th grade and said he was the best talent he’d ever seen.
I lived in Georgia. There was no internet. No recruiting shows. I hadn’t discovered the magazines. I had heard about Josh Booty.

Do you even recruiting, bro?

I don’t know if you’re aware of this, but we can sign them both.

Why would you want to trade one for the other

For some people, telling themselves they’d “take the trade” helps their insecurities rationalize the loss. It’s ridiculous but to each their own.

Why even ask that? A no brainer... Yes, give me Underwood and let the door slam Mack as he leaves

The people that are already writing off Mack are just weak. He may go elsewhere, but don’t be a dumbass

It’s honestly just really lame. Real loser mentality. Gotta stack all the talent to you can. We want every top recruit we can get

Mack could always accept his offer and become a huge part of this class - hopefully he will as he is a very highly regarded recruit. However, his actions point to a different outcome.

Not true Booty was the #1 player that year. Your thinking of Peyton Manning who wasn’t considered in the top 5 qb’s

What does a 2025 QB have to do with a 2024 DB?

And did underwood commit?

He was the top Dual QB and #3 overall that season. However Matt Barkly was a pro-style QB and #1 overall,

The only stupidity would have been playing Shepard at QB. He couldn't pass and word was he could not learn the playbook.

Ryan Perriloux was #1 QB in the country if I’m not mistaken.

#1 Dual threat but Mark Sanchez was the #1 Pro style and #1 overall QB.

Why is this even a question? They are not even the same class or position.

This is like one of those stupid GF trap questions like "if your mom and me were trapped in a burning car and you could only save one who would it be?" There is no answer to a stupid question that doesnt exist.

So Moscona has talked about this on Scone and T. He said the first media practices where he saw RS throw was obvious he wasn’t a QB but he was the best athelete on his HS team. Miles had to move him. Big recruiting win tho.
