Sure, we usually get 1 5 star signature DL at the top of each class but honestly that’s it. We have the 2 best defensive lines in America

We signed 5 DL out of high school and got 4 more out of the portal, including the highest rated edge rusher. TF are you going on about?

Take a look at Texas, who has one of the best DL groups in CFB right now. Those are mostly 3-4 star guys Bo recruited and developed into studs

Let me start by pointing out that "3-4 star guys" is a pretty massive bucket. That includes everyone from the #33 ranked guy down to the #1000+ ranked guy. Your point, though, seems to be that Texas built its elite DL more through scouting and development of lower-tier recruits than by bringing in blue-chip studs. Well unfortunately that's just not the case.

Texas's DL rotation basically consists of Alfred Collins and Vernon Broughton on the interior (with Bill Norton, and Jermayne Lole spelling them), and trey Moore, Colin Simmons, barryn simmons, and Ethan Burke at the DE/EDGE spots. Of that core group, Collins and Simmons were both 5*, Broughton was a high 4* (#122 overall), and trey moore was a highly rated transfer when texas landed him (4*, #3 edge in the portal, 93 rating (would be tied for the 2nd highest-rated guy in LSU's current transfer class)). Burke and Sorrell were both nice development jobs (both high 3*) (and their secondary rotational guys on the interior are mid-level transfers), but other than those 2, the main contributors have pretty elite pedigree (also worth noting that they rush the passer quite a bit with anthony hill (LB), who was also a 5*).

We play exactly 2 DTs max on field at same time 99% of time. We are fine here people. How many DTs does NFL roster roll with? Depth is so overrrated in college. U have 6-8 guys here who can play and some very very well.

DL/DT
Dom Mckinley
Ahmad Breaux
Guillory
Shone Wasington

Transfer
Mitchell

Signed
Mathis
Brown
Williams

We used to then came along this little thing called NIL and now it’s all about $$$$$$$$$$$$- it’s not that hard to understand. It’s not anyone’s fault, not LSU, not CBK, not Bo, don’t take it personal it’s business.
$$$$$$ Wars are fought over it
Marriages are broke over it
People are murdered over it
Families hate over it
And sometimes just sometimes a 17yr old immature kid with not much of it chooses a school that will give him the most. Duh!

Bo Davis’ last group there has already moved on to the Draft, but they were not top-tier recruits. His initial rebuild of the DL started through development.
