We have 31 committed Tigers! Who will be #32?

1) TE - Position of need, would love to have a playmaking TE particularly at the goal line.

2) OL - Always a tough position to fill for us; continue to build depth. Maybe a Center if a good one is available.

I love that the staff has focused on bringing Louisiana players back home and on finding players who really want to be here. Hopefully this strategy also helps with the 2023 recruiting class.

3 different QB's started in 2020.

3 different QB's started in 2021.

We have 3 QB's on the roster, one of which is a true freshman that probably wants to keep his redshirt.

We should get another QB.

If you really gonna count the ball game that’s pretty stupid.

Depends on what Defense House wants to run, if we run a 3-4 or a 3-3, we need some extra edge guys who can get to QB.

Need to find a grad transfer from a G5 school that won’t mind being 3rd string. There’s gotta be someone out there.

We could lose some after Spring Ball too. What's the transfer cutoff?

Few schools have more than 3 serviceable quarterbacks.

Alabama hasn't had more than three in years.

I agree with positions but Id change the priority

OL - they were bad last year and will be worse this year if they dont find some studs. Freshmen dont typically shine in year one and Myles isnt exactly mobile.
LB - the loss of Baskerville and Clark hasnt truly been addressed. Will Perkins be ready to play at a high level in year one?
CB - We have bodies here now, but can they play up to DBU expectations? Does Ward go back to corner?
TE - It'd be nice to have another guy here, but I dont know that its a huge issue if we dont get one this cycle. I have a ton of confidence in our backs and receivers to mask this gap.

I'd say we need 2 transfer TEs if 2 quality ones become available

Next highest priority would be center if one also became available, although i kind of doubt it at this point

If a good safety pops you take him.

That’s why we signed 2 highly rated, experienced transfer OL, to go along with the 4 freshmen OL we signed.

Myles is also much better moving within the pocket than Max, although definitely more injury prone.

Well, Baskerville is returning, and we signed 2 transfer LB’s to go along with Perkins.

Our DBs have basically been “bodies” for the last two years. We signed 4 very experienced defensive backs, 2 of them 4 star cornerbacks.

2020 was O not knowing to go to Johnson first after the Brennan injury.
2021 was O starting someone he shouldn’t have and the bowl game.

So

2020. Needed starts from 2

2021. Needed starts from 1

Is Myles even healthy and working out at full speed yet?

I worry about his durability.

It would be nice to have another serviceable QB on the roster.

Injuries happen. Recruits don't pan out. We have 3 scholarship quarterbacks, 2 of which have missed significant time due to injury.

Seems like if we can't get an experienced center we should just build from what we've got.

Priorities, IMO:
2 TE
Center
QB

A TE is an absolute must. Maybe Takacs is the guy. He could start at LSU this fall instead of being 2nd fiddle to Mayer. No idea if LSU is in his plans.

G. Takacs
K. Taylor
J. Mashburn
M. Taylor

I could live with that this fall.
