I know this is while from now but QB’s generally commit early in the process. I know his dad played for LSU. Is he tiger fan? Just curious if anyone has any information on him.

His mom is deceased, but she graduated from LSU. His father played and graduated from LSU, his sister is currently on volleyball scholly at LSU.....etc
You get the oicture..he loves LSU and has his entire life.

That being said, would he go to LSU if there was a 5 star freshman starter in front of him? Just no telling right now

I was friends with his mother and his aunt in college. His mom used to dominate playing QB for the KD girls flag football team. Great athlete.

Very sad situation for the family.

From what I heard he was leaning towards A&M or Miss St.

This could be BS, but that's what I heard.

He's all LSU unless there is a serious logjam at QB.

Cancer. You will really start to hear Walker's name a lot in the recruiting circle this coming football season. Jamie keeps his son very close to his vest and doesn't allow a lot of outside distraction when it comes to him.

I'm pretty sure it will be Walker Howard 22' and then Arch Manning in 23'. Could be very interesting at the QB spot as far as recruiting.

By then we will have an idea of who the starter will be for the 2022 season and which kids have transferred. If the QB race isn’t crazy he would like to play at LSU but it’s 2 years away so he isn’t about to decide anything yet.

I don't think they have personally been to Lafayette, but he's been to camps at both LSU and Bama and was immediately offered by each team.

I did see some Bama scouts at practice last year along with a bunch of other schools.

Jamie Howard has remained very close to LSU since his playing days. He’s a big booster, fundraiser, and has been a member of various TAF boards and committees.

I’ve always admired his love for LSU because his playing days were a roller coaster, and he received a lot of hate from fans at times. He was also on some very bad teams.

I doubt he has a lot of fond memories of his playing days at LSU.

Assuming Brennan is the starter for two years, there will be no incumbent starter when it’s time for Walker to sign.

I think I like him better than Caleb Williams. Would be a great consolation prize.

The very first LSU team I followed was the team that had Chad Loup, Jesse Daigle, and Jamie Howard all splitting time at QB.

I was a little kid then, but it’s still a little surprising to me to see Chad Loup is a doctor in Baton Rouge, Jesse Daigle has been a financial advisor for basically two decades, and Jamie Howard’s son is a potential top 100 recruit.

I remember Jamie Howard too. He was a pretty good baseball player too, no? Does his son play baseball?

I didn’t know how close Jamie was to LSU to this day after the 94 auburn game he played with heart beating them in 95. It was said he got death threats after 94. Good to see there isn’t a beef.

No. He is a hell of a baseball player but doesn't play anymore. Guess he's concentrating on football. I think he's a darn good basketball player too.

The kid's just an awesome athlete.
