IF Surtain does choose BAMA, maybe people around here will start realizing there are no 100% “locks” in recruiting. Just last year that’s what people were saying about Surtain. Don’t get your hopes up on a recruit. Recruiting is too fluid and dirty to get too invested.

I quit following recruiting last year. There literally is nothing but disappointment at the 11th hour. I think the Marvin Wilson thing just ended it for me. Feels like, from what you guys are saying, Surtain is going to be the Marvin Wilson of this class.

I thought I read a few weeks back that there were NCAA rules against hiring someone if it could potentially influence a recruits decision, which was the holdup with Faulk coming from Carencro. Or does that only apply to coaches?
