and he is not been picked by any school?

Depends if their former team wants them back or not.

If no one picks them up and they can't return to their original school, they either go the JUCO route, go down a division, walk on somewhere, or quit football.
Interesting article from 2021 that focussed on former LSU WR/CB Mannie Netherly

once he enters, he officially gives up his scholarship. If he doesn't get picked up elsewhere, it is up to the school to decide if they want to reissue that scholarship to him.

It means he should have been a good teammate but instead he will frick up your order at Burger King

Same thing as anyone else who drops out of college. They go get a job.

Nothing. You just stay in it

In 2025 I’ll be taking my talents to the University of Portal where I’ll work toward a degree in NIL studies.

Not sure but I’ll say this: I tip my hat to these kids. It can’t be easy preparing for final exams, making all those visits, talking through it all with agents and such all while trying finish up college coursework. Truly incredible focus by those student athletes

He goes to the Dr. Pepper fandom.

Kids should think twice before entering the transfer portal without a coach’s interest. If your game film isn’t up to par, it’s wise to consider hiring an agent to help you navigate the process. Embrace the possibility of starting at an HBCU or Division II program; it could be your best path to showcasing your talent and finding success.

The portal should make their own team
Would probably go 5-7 in the sec

Yes. TCU.

Do we, LSU, have any athletes that have entered the portal and return back to the team? I really can’t think of one off the top of my head. I imagine there’s some sour grapes between the coaching staff and the student athlete, I mean the moneygrubbing athlete

I would imagine that if you don't have an agent wanting to represent you you should probably not be in the portal.

Myles Brennan (was a coaching change situation so a little different)
Sage Ryan
Kayshon Boutte never actually entered the portal IIRC but was reportedly planning to, until he got a bigger NIL deal
It’s not unheard of, but it’s certainly the exception.

Sage Ryan and John Emery Jr. did just last year.
