We need to sign 9 OL recruits in the next years class

5 top HS recruits
2 hopeful transfer portal guys with none from the Ivy League again
2 Junior College transfers
And hopefully with this we can start rebuilding our OL.
It all starts in the trenches which has been so obvious the last 2 seasons.

O simply has never made OL a priority like he has safeties and skill position players. I realize he’s a defensive guy but come on go f’ing recruit the best OL in the country for gods sake.

I know we have some dudes this year at WR but I’d only take a 2-3 and use the other spots on OL
The way the freshman we are playing, we won’t need WR very much for the next 2 years.

What does O know?
He keeps croaking about the « 2019 Offense » as if Brady and Burrow didn’t bring this to LSU! Then you see a mismanaged defense, as if Orgeron is not responsible for that aspect too!!

We’ve got 4, hopefully 2 or 3 more HSers , at least 2 out the portal, that would be 8, that’s a good start. I believe Davis will develop the younger guys who have been thrown in the fire this year, Davis has only been here a minute.

Pretty sure Mullen signed 7-8 OL his first year and they were pushing around bama’s 5 stars. We need to over recruit bodies a OL every year because we are never going to stack up elite talent at that position.

Agreed. this class we need to just stack the positions we need support on. We have so much young talent elsewhere.

That’s not really true, O just has had more misses there than anywhere else. The problem is he didn’t recruit contingency guys to keep the numbers right like he did on the DL.

They won't all sign. They all want playing time. Hard to get with a 9 player signing class

It's not that hard. ULL keeps sending them to the NFL.. Gets some big ole humpy's and develop them. They don't have to be 5 stars

5 out of HS and 2 Portal guys for me would be a good number with the 32 available you have this year. I can see an 8th if you can find a JUCO like D. Lewis. Started day 1 at LSU and started all 16 games for Seattle as a rookie last year.
