After the signing of Daryl Edwards, what additional 2017 prospects are being pursued by Wade? How many more can he sign? This class could end up making LSU BB competitive immediately!

I'm hoping for an immediate starter in the post, via JUCO or grad transfer.

Jeremy Combs, transfer from North Texas, is a possibility. Not sure if LSU is looking at him, but Wade hired Benford from UNT.

Would love Tony Farmer from Lee JC, but he has been in prison, so I don't know Wade's opinion on that.

I think we are 1 big man away from being competitive next year. Not NCAA T competitive, but overall a decent basketball team competitive.

We shall see if that comes. Otherwise we will be working from behind but hopefully coaching can make up for a lack of personnel if we can't nab a transfer.

I think most of us just want to see improvement.

We need scoring. We have no offense. Blakeney kept a lot of games somewhat respectable last year. Taking 20+ PPG out of the lineup is a huge blow.

I think with a legit SEC level PF, we could be a bubble team.

Shouldn't be too hard.

That's because he had to because the coaching was inept. We had no offensive sets. It was basically run and jack it up, and when that didn't happen it was give it to Blakeney and do something.

The other two names have been antino Jackson and markel Crawford (both grad transfers). We don't have another available scholarship at the moment. Although most think that will change.

I think that was the last scholarship. Maybe some attrition will open up scholarships.

Farmer is an incredible talent, but I don't think LSU can touch him. The video of his incident is terrible. Would be a really tough sell. He's paid his time but not sure he'll get an SEC offer.

What about Ahmad Hamdy? He is a 5th yr grad transfer from VCU. He is 6'9 230.

If there is reason to believe Farmer is no longer the same guy on that video, I think you take him.

Basketball-wise he's exactly what LSU needs.

But if he's too hot to handle Jeremy Combs would be a quality addition.

The big problem here seems to be that they're not crazy about Galen Alexander and don't think he can be a big contributor as a combo forward. If he could, then you wouldn't be so short-handed in the post.

But under the circumstances you really need a grown man who can rebound and defend and score in the low post. Doesn't have to be 6-10, but he does have to hold his own. What you have simply won't cut it.

They don't like Alexander in general or they don't like him to fit a need at the 4?

On what planet is Galen Alexander a 4?

Grad transfer would be nice for next season, but I think we really need a JUCO guy that can be here for two years. Anyone Jabari Smiths or Jaime Lloreda's out there?
