I thought Underwood got more!
The No. 1 tight end in the 2026 class is staying home. Bowman, a 6-foot-4, 225-pound standout from powerhouse Mater Dei, has committed to USC in what’s shaping up to be the most lucrative NIL agreement ever reported for a high school recruit.
According to On3’s Scott Schrader, Bowman’s projected NIL value at USC sits between $8 million and $10 million. A staggering figure that puts him ahead of most active college football players in earning potential. While the financial details haven’t been confirmed by the university or Bowman’s camp, insiders say the structured deal could begin before Early Signing Day, with performance-based bonuses extending throughout his career.
For USC, the commitment signals more than just a recruiting win, it’s a definitive statement in the NIL era: big talent deserves big backing.

If they're paying a TE that.... What would they spend on a QB

Gotta be more. A TE is useless without someone to throw him the ball.

Welp…..LSU better hit up Graves and the Marucci owner.

I bdlet Caleb Williams made about 25million. He was living the life of a celeb while he was there. Luxury all around him. I bet Reggie got 10-15mill 20 years ago. No telling what Leinart got. USC really got money like that.

Everyday these teams are resetting the NIL market and setting dangerous new precedents for future recruits

USC is desperate to get back to locking down the state in recruiting. Thats an outrageous bag but I don’t blame them. If you have an elite talent in your backyard you pay what you need to pay them to keep them home

Not surprising considering they spent over 2 MM on a defensive lineman from New Orleans last year that has only played one season of high school ball. They almost have to overpay due to the state taxes these kids will be paying.

What’s holding up the settlement?
Players gonna strike when these deals become limited

And what did Jakheim Stewart really sign for? That’s a good question.

I refuse to believe they are that dumb

Pure desperation to keep an in-state kid.

I'm sure he got paid nicely but this is one of On3's valuations, which are bullshite.

I don't think this is the on3 valuation. It almost sounds like they got close to the actual numbers.
And with the way things are going its not that crazy to think he is getting 2 mil as yr. Many players are.

He better be the next Brock Bowers!
Posted on 6/6/25 at 8:29 am to LSUtiger89
It's no way they are paying 8 to 10 million to a TE.
