He will be having surgery this AM to have a rod inserted - Distal tib/fib fracture but not intra-articular.The gym went silent - many emotions involved obviously becuase of the last 2 weeks of publiciity for the kid.. Arizona State recruiters were at the game sitting beside me. As soon as the accident happend, they immediatly starterd making calls and then went and stood beside the ambulance

I was at the game and it was a freak accident. Basically Tega went up for a rebound and when he landed, the leg gave out.

I have comfired through my local sourcethat LSU contacted the head coach of school and insisted that LSU's offer still stood. There was suppose to be a "in home" visit this weekend by LSU - not sure if that will still take place.

As a side bar, GA's head coach visited with prince yesterday.

Thanks for the info. I hope it's true, about the offer. Tough break for prince. Shows a lot about our coaches to stand by this young man.

Classy move if it's true.

Sounds like most if not all schools are standing by their offers at this point. With his lack of experience, I would think he's a redshirt candidate so he has plenty of time to heal while learning the game.

Either way, prayers for a speedy and full recovery.

I had the same injury playing football about 3 years ago, I still have my rod in my leg. It will take a good couple of months to a year for him to get the full hang of things again, but he will fully recover. From then on, it's all about how he is psychologically. Hope the kid has a speedy recovery and keeps his spirits up!

Just got a text from the head coach stating that Tega is in surgery right now and the Dr stated that it was a clean break (which is good) and should be ready go by May

Sounds like they received the best news possible regarding his injury. I pray the surgery is successful without any complications. Hope your daughter isn't taking the injury too badly.

Best wishes out to Prince and his family.
