This thread is the epitome of people getting excited over potential. And that potential ends up being ammunition for blaming coaching staffs if he doesn’t provide the production you guys expect because of his rating coming out of HS.

The kid has played a handful of plays on ST in two years. This is a depth piece.

Can someone point to me what this kid has done on a college football field that I should be as excited as you guys?

We're excited bc if he's finally healthy, then he should be a player for us.

Yes. We're excited about potential, but there's nothing wrong with that.

Most people know there is a chance that he never returns to his old self before the injury, but we think it's worth the risk.

Yes the dude’s been injured. But he was Freshman All American HM so there’s definitely some good history there. Injuries can throw a wrench in things, but a player who’s been on an SEC roster and has made a little noise. Including a TD against us 2 years ago in the loss.

injury history

Was a major contributor as a fresh, significant injury caused him to miss soph, played ST only last year. Don't know exactly why, but he should be healed up enough that physical limitations won't keep him from seeing the field.

How does this work with Trey Dez?

Trey Dez absolutely has to see the field every offensive possession next year at either TE or WR. He's future 1st round talent potential.

It crazy how we can land a tight-end. Currently we don’t even have a tight-end coach. Last year, couldn’t land our biggest need by far. This year is following suit. Imma start calling BK Can’t Get Right

The recruiting board is all about potential. What’s the point of adding a player to the team if there aren’t expectations?

Fun fact: he was a part of that A$M class that was all money could buy

Does this mean he is now part of the LSU class that money could buy?

Below are our DTs. I think we need another from the portal.

Guillory is coming off major injury. The big monster Mitchell is so big that he likely is not an every down player.

When do you feel comfortable with the freshmen DTs getting much playing time? Mid-season? Back-half of the year? The following year?

Ahmad Breaux
Jacoby Guillory
Sydir Mitchell
Dominick McKinley
Shone Washington

Freshman:
Zion Williams
Brandon Brown
Dilan Battle
Walter Mathis, Jr

The guy hasn't done squat in two years, but this site treats his signing like the TE room has been upgraded immensely and is now complete.

Mid-October, everyone starts asking "Why didn't we do better in the portal?", and "Just wait til next year after Kelly cleans up in the portal".

Just shows how disillusioned this fan base can be.
