It’s hard to pick. Clemson will likely be a better version of last season. They return everybody. We don’t know what the offensive line’s going to do and there’s so many new faces on the defensive side of the ball. There’s really no way to know. There’s been no time to gel. I do know that I won’t be counting them out regardless of the outcome of this game.(Unless they get absolutely dogwalked like they don’t even belong on the same field)

Clemson is a top team. This game will show if we are also a top team. A close hard fought loss at Clemson wouldn’t be the end of the world. They’re likely the best team on our schedule and they just happen to be our first game. Alabama and oklahoma(depending on how their qb’s play) are the only 2 on our schedule i worry as much about as much.

My opinion means shite, but I'd rather spend my money on the portal. At least guys from there have actual playing time in college somewhere.

It's the most important game. Until LSU's next game.

we've got 2 good pitchers left.
We've got our 3rd and 4th best pitchers behind Kade and Eyanson. If we can't pull it out, it wont be because we lacked pitching. Both are pretty consistent too
It seemed like today was a throw away game for some reason. Evans and Cowan have been far and away better than any other pitchers we have beside the aces. We're in great shape pitcher wise to take care of business tomorrow. I just wonder why he waited.
Hopefully, the midweek pitchers he'll be facing tonight will help him bust out of the slump. Can't have him slumping like this going into Supers
The words of these kids don't mean shite anymore. It really doesn't pay to get excited about any of them until the ink is dry. Even then, they can hit the road 3 months later, when the portal opens again. No questions asked. I used to love recruiting so much

After reading everything here, no way they are top 8.
If they don't host a super, they aren't making it to the CWS. I don't know what it is, but they are a totally different team when they're not at the Box
Genuinely wondering, because I'm pretty sure it was before Jay's first season.
That 8.5 is because Brian Kelly is Brian Kelly and tends to do Brian Kelly things. Talent-wise(at least on paper) LSU has what it takes to go all the way

You can’t say things like this without dropping a time and a Sonic location of your choosing. F’n amateur hour, aye?

Damn. You. Matt. House.
Matt House didn't hire himself. Put the blame where it belongs.

The last linebacker we had with that last name is still a mystery to me.

You should probably stop watching baseball. Or watch more baseball and get a clue.

Not sure, but I like my chances with Evans. I think Cowan can pitch 1 inning even though some people think it’s unheard of to throw about 60-65 pitches total over a weekend.
I miss Riley Cooper
In 2023, I questioned Jay about starting Skenes against Tulane in the regionals and then again against Tennessee gm 1 of CWS. He did the right thing. Jay will make the decision that gives us the best chance to win. It works out more often than not.
