The O-line class is a little refreshing but 1 D-lineman!? This staff better be hell bent on landing Sopsher because if we don't this will bite us in the arse in 2019 and 2020.

If the fact that we have only 1 commit in this class isn't enough to keep a kid in LA then I'm convinced he got paid in some form or fashion.

What's more scary is we basically have two dline coaches (O and Meatball), yet havent got anything to show for it. Cupboards are empty smh

I see the same problem we had under Miles. Not signing enough Dlinemen and signing plenty of overrated Olinemen and Oline projects. Not enough true OTs.

You don't know they are overrated until they are on campus though.

Man, I disagree here.

I think LSU has done a great job the past two seasons recruiting the OL

An UA AA (Cole)
An OT that could have gone anywhere in the SEC (Wire)
An OT that has insane upside (Rosenthal)
An OG that proved as a freshman he can play in the SEC (Hines)
A borderline top 100 overall player at OT (Parker)
A five star offensive guard (Thomas)

To me, that’s doing very well. Not elite, but very well. Throw in some developmental, program guys.

Yeh, it’s a problem

I think it has a lot to do with the D-line talent in the 2020 class and the ones we anticipate coming back. I do wish we had 1-2 good edge rushers in this class.

I think everyone is coming back next season on our DL.

Who’s available minus Sospher?

Maybe because that's the best they can do. Ever think of that? Maybe theres no way to recruit better than they have recruited the last 10 years when it comes to the offensive line.

We signed several DLine last year and shouldn't lose any this year. Maybe 1.

The state has several quality defensive linemen in the 2020 class.

We'll be ok. I'm sure Coach O has a plan.

I love when people say this like next year is the issue lol. The issue is going to be when we are playing Freshman instead of having the option of playing RS freshman or sophomores along with juniors and seniors.

The DL is the most important position along with OL and QB. If LSU wants to be in the playoffs and win championships, then we must sign 3 more legit DLman and a rush DE or at the very least have a plan to bring in 2 more legit DLman from JUCO or transfers in 2019 then 2 more along with a rush end from JUCO or transfers next year on top of the 2020 guys we bring in.

The problem will be their experience on the college ranks. Even if we land some of the best DLman in 2020 we will need them to perform at least equal to the juniors and seniors we have on the roster for us to compete at a high level. Mentally and physically that just won't be the case unless we get extremely lucky. We need some DLman and a rush DE pretty bad. Not only that but we would need to land another super class in 2021 for our future at the position to stay strong.

I honestly don't get it?? This is LSU, we should have DTs and DEs begging to come play here. We have great LBers behind them along with great DBs to help them shine. I hope our coaches have a plan!!

This is something that is being overlooked.

Jerrell Cherry - WDE
Davin Cotton - DE/DT
Nelson Jenkins - DE/DT
Dominic Livingston - NT

That’s four guys that were able to redshirt this season and can provide depth for 2019

That said we do need more than one dlinemen in the 2019 class

Not if we land that big Utah boy. That would be a huge get! Not a good feeling tho when it’s an absolute position of need. Would rather him than Sospher...
