The large majority of the OL/DL are just depth pieces. Let’s be honest. Our DL looks “ok” at best and the OL group is large in numbers but short on quality. It’s a work in progress and will probably take another year to get to the physical and experience level needed to compete for a championship.

I can also promise you this. The days of giving up 25+ per game are done, also.

Um, because of the amount of talent stacked on the roster?

The amount of talent being brought in, and a coaching staff who is bought in for raising this program back to excellence is nothing short of amazing. It’s hard not to be excited. The results on the field will speak for themselves, but it’s an exciting time to be a Tiger fan.

. A Saban roster at Alabama had 3-5 first round picks on it annually. And another slew of top 100 picks. Your comparison is just flat out ignorant and disrespectful to what he did.

Agree with you on some areas, but we may have the best LB group in the country with tons of experience.

This team is nowhere near that level especially on the lines.

Not really. He had 3 or more 1st round picks in 9 years out of 17 at Bama. That’s awesome but certainly not annually.

You don’t think this LSU team is looking to have a lot of draft picks in the 2027 draft?

High school class is pretty small, but looks solid. Most high school kids already signed, but I wonder who may still sign.

Any chance we can land Elijah Haven? Or is he pretty much set on Bama.

The OL needs to come together as a unit. It could, but we don’t have 3 elite guys playing on a unit that has 6 or 7 guys that have been part of an elite rotation playing together for a few years. It seems like that’s what Bama had that we don’t have.

I mean not really. I expect the up coming rosters to be more loaded with talent than this year but Lane needs his own Recruiting classes to achieve that. This was a great save of a roster, I will give him that. I think Vegas will have us somewhere around 3 or 4 loses for next year meaning 8-9 win total. I think last year was 8.5 if I remember correctly.

Yes and no.

The O line and D line aren’t at that level imho (on paper), but everywhere else looks…
