The DT Fiasco Sitting at 0-4 (0-5 is a Real Possibility)

CJ West visit is cancelled because of an academic issue that will prevent him from graduating in May.
Barrow was here but is now off to Miami, FSU and Texas. Word is all three are offering him more $$$.
Damonic is in Texas right now. If Texas is spending more then it won't surprise anyone if he never makes it to campus. If he does we have a shot.
But $ talks with these mercenaries.
Real risk of going 0-3
What's the deal with the Tulane kid?

By Tulane standards, Jenkins is a standout player and Tulane has plenty of wealthy alum ready to drop money on NIL.

Yeah it’s pretty inexcusable. fricking Auburn has sucked for going on a decade and shouldn’t be outbidding us.

I could see how recruits have an artificially high price for us and Bo or Brian Kelly don't believe they are worth that much with Shand and a few others able to fill in

We do still have people on the roster, including incoming freshmen. We'll all survive.

I generally agree with this. But as we all know, when you f*ck up in life, you often have to pay for it.
We f*cked up in roster management around the DT position. So now one way or another we're going to pay for it. Either we overpay for two mercenaries now. Or we struggle mightily again in the defensive trenches.
One way or the other, you pay.

We will get 1 or 2 more guys and Bo Davis will coach that group up and have them at least serviceable. It's not ideal, but Dom Mckinley will probably have to play more which will be good for his development down the road.

unless we are planning on running a 7 man DT front, we will be fine
