Lee Brecheen reports Collins wants to major in broadcasting...so guess what the Horns are dangling in his face?

Hopefully they teach him well in Broadcasting, otherwise thats where 5star players go to die.

I guarantee you not a single athlete broadcaster majored in broadcasting.

What are they dangling? A job in the future on the longhorn network when he's playing in the NFL?

LOL, if that's their angle then that's weak IMO

Majoring in broadcasting is the excuse Joe McKnight used to leave Louisiana.
It's not like LSU doesn't offer a mass communications degree. Manship School of Mass Communication
If Collins leaves the state it will be because he wants to go to school and play football somewhere other than LSU.

In English (I speak it), Texas would give Collins "internship opportunities" with the network. Of course, it's not like he couldn't do the same things Mo Isom is doing at LSU. So, I'm guessing the ploy doesn't work.

His sister did advise him to leave the state.

I believe Bama is also setting up a broadcast center in DBS.
LSU has a trailer they roll out for pre/post game analysis.

Texas and Bama shouldn't be the schools to worry about.
If he is really going to decide on his college for their journalism school, Missouri is where he should go.
He can stay in the SEC and go to the top ranked J-school in the country there.

It's always a great to see a recruit (McKnight) who barely meets NCAA minimums use academic prestige as a reason for going to another school.

I wonder if they're telling him that no one carriers the LHN. It's the biggest joke in Texas these days.

I could of sworn LSU's mass comm. School was top notch. Also, seeing as how it's the MANSHIP( the advocate & channel 2) school of mass comm. I'm positive Texas doesn't have more to offer internship wise.
