I agree.

Sark is going to do well in texas. Jimbo is already doing well.

Recruiting will be harder with both of them rolling. It's just a fact

I imagine those 2, Ohio State, Bama, and Oklahoma will battle for all the states top guys. With Baker on staff and our presence in Houston, we’ll likely just recruit there and possibly DFW for a few kids each class. We seem to be focusing more east of LA lately anyway.

Lol

Since 2010 Texas has had the following drafted:

4 WR
1 RB

LSU, comparatively

10 WR
10
RB

But their in state recruiting has gone to shite. Herman couldn’t recruit in state but was able to get some talent from other states. It’s really odd. Seems like working much harder than you need to in my opinion. Texas could only recruit Texas kids and if they got the top guys they would be a top 5-10 team every year

Texas just landed a commitment from QB Maalik Murphy out of Cali for 2022. Four star in 247's rating but a composite 5 star.

Texas being "back" and recruiting well is good for LSU. Takes talent away from A&M and makes it harder for Alabama to get top players from Texas.

Count in Ohio St as well. They got the #5 TX recruit in 2020, #3 player from TX in 2021, and currently have the #1 & #4 player from TX for 2022. That’s four 5* recruits the bucknuts are pulling from TX.

Sark applying Bama's recruiting methods in Texas.

He'll recruit better than Herman.

I agree with the time line concern as well. He also confused draft picks (recruiting quality and development) versus recruiting (perceived rankings).

Go look at his actual stats as a football player........... then let us all try to figure out how this kid is a 5 Star.....

Sark was a decent, but not a great head coach at Washington playing against mediocre PAC-12 teams. He may be the answer at Texas, but he also may not be any better than Herman.

just the fact that he won't be making out with his players before the games is a win for them

Our other former safety commit BJ Allen is now trending to Texas as well. Sark is cleaning up in that state.

So was Charlie and so was Herman. It's a brand new shine on the same car. Give it time before just crowning them. They're promising to be Alabama to these kids. As much as people shite on the LSU offensive line recruiting some of y'all would die if LSU had the Texas O/D lines.

And not a word of the hypocrisy their fans have been spitting since Mack was there. They've always done it but primarily by greasing the wheels of the hs coaches in the state who were looking to make a buck anyway so no need to tell. Those days, while not gone, have diminished because if the 7 on 7 circuit so new tactics are needed.
They have always recruited well. They don't develop well. That is what Sark needs to change. I personally think it's the culture that's the issue not the coaches they've hired per se. It's toxic there.

There is no football related reason why Sark should not be successful at Texas- but he wont be for non-football related reasons he cannot control. Texas athletics is not run by the AD or the President like it is at most schools. Texas is run by factions of very wealthy people. All these factions insist on having a say in the way things operate. Maybe a Nick Saban could pull it off and keep all these factions on the same page but Sark wont be able to. He does not have the personality or demeanor. One look at Sark and you can see it.
