Bryce Anderson CBs to UT Longhorns.

Sarkisian is going to change that program around. He will definitely start to pull some of the bigger recruits in Texas and that school has potential to rise to the top.

I’m glad they are not in the SEC.

That’s what they’ve said about their last 3 hires. I’ll believe it when I see it

Every new coach has a good first class at Texas. And then its back to the cellar from there.

People are giving you shite but I agree with you. Sark is really good as long as he stays away from the vodka.

Since 2010, UT has had:
5 - Top 5 (2 of the last 3)
3 - Top 10
3 - Crap

...recruiting classes.

They’ve had a few down years over the past decade but overall, they’ve recruited very well.

Like LSU during our non-Championship years, they haven’t had a Championship caliber QB since VY (Colt got them there too in ‘09 though). But, none in the past decade.

Losing Ewers hurt bad. Though C Thompson looked like a phenom in their bowl game and they have two top 100 Freshmen. So I guess there’s hope.

If Sark can figure out a QB and coach em up, the talent is there.

He’ll at least start beating A&M for some kids in state. Texas being elite again would be doomsday for poor aggy.

Sark for Herman is a wash. Only hype right now.

Hard to judge a Bama coach when these assistant coaches get the #1 recruiting class to work with and lots players that don't leave early due to the environment Saban has created there.

Sark was a decent, but not a great head coach at Washington playing against mediocre PAC-12 teams. He may be the answer at Texas, but he also may not be any better than Herman.

Actually won’t be bad if he pulls recruits away from A&M

They’ve been pulling top DB prospects for a while now.

Texas being "back" and recruiting well is good for LSU. Takes talent away from A&M and makes it harder for Alabama to get top players from Texas.

LSU will still get a few players from Texas, just due to there being so many players, but just needs to protect Louisiana and add a few key out of state players to round out its classes.

Texas has recruited very well at skill positions the last few years. They have been awful in the trenches. Losing the Brockermeyer’s was a bad miss by Herman and I do think that played into his firing.

They said the exact same thing with Herman and he was a colossal failure.

Texas is still Texas.

Time will tell for sure. I think he's a good coach and his connection to Saban will only help in recruiting in the immediate future. After two years, we will see what Sark is all about. That will give him an opportunity to get a couple of recruiting classes in and also implement his offensive/defensive plan. If he doesn't have Texas turned in the right direction by then, he will join Herman as another HC that failed to get it done!

A few years with Saban and all of a sudden he can run a program & win a NC.

Yeah, we'll see

To do that he has to have the support of all three factions of the boosters. Good luck with that.
