Texas players would have to sit a year if they entered in spring portal. Texas and OU are following SEC rules for this fall.

Looks nothing short of desperation after 3 years with this defensive line and DB recruiting. This defense looks so void of bodies, let alone talent, that Saban could not coach them up.

It really doesn't have anything to do with what Trxas and Oklahoma are doing. If they are not accepting SEC transfers for immediate eligibility this season, that's simply their choice, but they're not obligated to follow the SEC rule until they're actually a member of the conference.
Now, I suppose it's possible for the SEC schools to reciprocate the favor by not taking transfers from those two schools and granting them immediate eligibility, but that would simply be a gentleman's agreement. I haven't seen anything to confirm that,but I suppose it's possible.
