I think this is from yesterday and I just now listened and made some notes

Colin knows where he’s going, bumping his date the pressure builds and it’s a two horse race. All Texas vs LSU. How are the staffs reading it with confidence on both sides? I think the positive for Texas are connections to current Texas players. You don’t have to leave the state, great official visit to Texas. Familiarity and friendships with Texas players.

LSU it’s genuine and general liking and is comfortable at. Question for LSU is Jimmy Lindsey. Surely it makes and impact. Jamar Cain was his guy and doesn’t have a line coach, why commit there without a defensive line coach?

Colin probably telling both staffs what they want to hear.

Texas On3 doesn’t think they’ll be in attendance

They must not be as confident as they say they are if they won’t be in a attendance.

Agree particularly Gerry or Eric Nahlin. Gerry because he's been around a long time and actually isn't a bad guy in the industry. Nahlin, well, if he doesn't then it's a bad look and fitting with all the bullshite he spews. Not to say things can't change in the next few days but their actions and words are showing signs of loss and coping. Our guys gave the same clues to regarding Mack and McKinley the past few months with the trust in Frank mindset. Setting us up for the initial disappointment that is now beginning to become clearer. Then you have a guy like Singleton who breaks all the rules we thought we knew. Who knows?

Sounds like he’s getting desperate and grasping for straws. Latching onto Lindsey being out temporarily is a Hail Mary.

This tells you how clueless Texas insiders are. Guys like Simmons have stronger relationships elsewhere on the staff. I think Lindsey has some impact but not like he's saying. It has nothing to do with him as a position coach since he'll never coach his position anyway. They really are getting desperate.

Tells me neither LSU or Texas know anything about where Mckinely or Simmons are leaning. LSU side is just confident based on Simmons recent reactions which should give confidence.

Claiming Colin’s decisions has anything to do with what happened to Lindsey is a weak argument.

They paysites are full of shite. People act like they go there for information but they really just go there to feel good about their program. Texas fans arent any different than other fanbases theres just a lot of them so Texas gets extra "coverage". The business model is to pump a steady flow of sunshine under the guise of "reporting" because it drives clicks which drive revenue.

Then the media consistently over-ranks them so their games get more hyped and more people watch and more people buy tickets and more people travel and more people place bets.

Their recruits consistently get over ranked because it supports the narrative that Texas is "building" its way back and kids just want to be there even if they arent winning.

So they have inflated expectations, an inflated perception of their talent level, and an inflated sense of the health of their program. Then the season hits, they go through their cycle of despair and indignation because they genuinely thought they were supposed to be good, and the cycle starts again.

Same shite happens at A&M. Collins recruitment isnt even that interesting or exciting. He's always had LSU at the top, Texas offered him a ton of $$$, LSU offered enough to still be attractive to him, so he's gonna go where he wanted to all along. Hamilton knows all of that, he's just feeding the sheep until its time for slaughter.

I second that Crown!! West Bay really makes some valid points about LSU! I’ve said it before I think Simmons commits and signs with the good guys!

That is a very thoughtful theory and one that should be shown to the LA kids flirting with the Texas schools.

Who could downvote this? Lol. There’s a handful of us that could literally talk recruiting until the sun came up or were too drunk to form sentences, then we would just start screaming 5 for 5 obnoxiously

Good point on that earlier vid, that although Texas may be able to beat LSU on the nil front, BK sells them on the long term financial benefit of going through LSU. Not sure if that’s true, but we’ve put more talent in the NFL over the last decade. So it stands to reason that the short term nil isn’t everything.

About 95% of the kids you recruit, after a coach puts in days and hours, he knows if he’s getting them. He knows where he stands. Coaches know BS. One Coach told me about a kid, he’s going wherever his Dad tells him. Thats where he went.

Many times a coach has to go through other folks to get to a kid. One kid that signed with LSU, you had to go through a town preacher.

Sit down and talk with coaches that have done this over the years, they will tell you how they’ve missed on a player.

Like I always say, sometimes it’s better you lose a few, some kids playing games in recruiting, won’t be there when you need them.

Kids at their schools, are the best at their school. At LSU, they are among the best. Everyone gets the same shot, it’s what you do with it!
