I really wanted LSU to sign Kendrick Law two years ago, but Saban convinced him to go to Bama.
I have not seen Bussey play, but he is described in a manner similar to Law.
Anybody able to comment on this comparison more knowledgeably?

Alabama is coming hard after Bussey. Currently Tommy Rees is still in Timpson and has been since 9:00 this morning. Saban will be in town next week to visit. Saban as communicated to Bussey that out of everyone he is recruiting he would pick him over everyone else because he is a sure fire NFL prospect.

When Rees was asked what was the difference between Saban and Kelly? He said the difference is Kelly will not give you all the 1 on 1 attention you want and the hands on coaching piece. Everything else they is very close and they are very similar.

LSU closing on Elite OOS prospects at positions of need would be too much like right.

Man he’ll really enjoy that 1 on 1 coaching for the one year he’s there before Nick calls it quits

This doesn't surprise me. As unapproachable as Saban seems, I think he knows what buttons to push with players/recruits. He notoriously makes comments to players after games or the comment to Devin White that if he chose LSU he would have to get used to losing to Bama every year. Of course it didn't sway Devin.

So Kelly cannot or will not "coach" players on an individual basis?
That would mean he 100% relies on his coordinators and assistants for teaching the details. And when you have a POS coordinator with terrible assistants on defense, you get the worst LSU defense in memory.

Thanks for responding to my question.
So let’s talk about Bussey and Kendrick Law, who is a Bama sophomore and compares very favorably to Bussey. He is also from just down the road from Timpson, in Shreveport
Law bought into the Saban will “give you 1 on 1 attention” claim which can never be proven and seems unlikely.
What CAN be established is PT and stats.
As a very talented Soph, Law has 14 RECEPT’s for 134 yds.for the whole year.
That’s one game for an LSU WR.
And of course, PT would be immediate for Bussey as a db.

Thanks for the update. Saban is the best in the business until he retires. I still think it will be a LSU A&M battle until signing day. He smart for waiting to see how teams play out with new coaches

Law and Shaaz Preston left Louisiana and Alabama continues to bring in more WR's every class and neither of them get significant playing time.

Law and Preston would’ve played more here.
Did I hear that somewhere before?

I feel 0 sympathy for kids going elsewhere only to be buried on the depth chart.

Star or not, Louisiana takes care of its former Tigers. Soeaking of, has anyone heard the Chase Clement commercial?

He doesn’t care. He’s a well-known troll who would rather use a statement like that to further an agenda.

I saw both play. Bussey is better than Law. Bussey is a better athlete, he’s just better. Better in the return game, would be a better receiver if he strictly played wr, faster. Law may be a little bigger weight wise right now but Bussey is only 17. When he gets to college, I’m sure they will have him stronger.

That's saying a lot. Law is legit...
