Terry Bussey Update

Coach Cooks from LSU was at the Timpson game last night, along with coaches from A&M, and USC. OU is out of the running with Lebby taking the Mississippi State job. Bussey would have been a slot WR at OU. Everyone else is selling Bussey on the Nickle slot position. LSU in in contact everyday. Before Elijah Robinson left A&M he told Bussey and all the other recruits to give the new staff time to develop and give them a chance before making a decision.
If TJ Rushing, the DB coach at A&M isn't retained on the new staff then that may do it for A&M's chances. Strong possibility that Bussey could follow Coach Rushing to whatever school he goes to next if he's not retained at A&M. Rushing has been in contact with both LSU & USC about positions on their staff's. Bussey is still leaning towards signing in February instead of this month.
LSU is right in the thick of it boys!

Bussey and McBryde would be a massive coup in the back end. Go along with Toviano and Kylin Jackson, you would have some really nice pieces to work with. This is a massive recruitment.

Seems like he has a history of getting big time secondary recruits. Could bring matthews anderson along with Bussey. Let's go get this guy!

He may be a good DB coach, but he's got a light resume'. Not lighter than Steeples though.

Very young resume. Could be a steal for LSU, but it’s high risk high reward imo. Dont want us to get a coach just for a few recruits and then be stuck with a bad coach.

Technically we're stuck with a bad coach and we didn't even get the recruits. So, still would've been an upgrade.
Jokes aside, I agree. Couldn't bet on Robinson being ready for a DC position in the SEC. Which sucks because he's a hell of a recruiter.
