Whether he is eligible for a D1 school after dropping out of JUCO has to do with his grades from high school. Did he go to JUCO for academic reasons, or for developmental reasons?

If he was eligible out of high school then he's eligible now.

If he is not eligible, then the whole Rodney discussion is moot.
I don't know the answer there Bjorn, not sure what the exact situation is. I've looked around for something on it, and found nothing.

And you are right... moot is moot (if he's not eligible). Hell, if he's not eligible offer him and let the clearinghouse stop the LOI signing so it doesn't count towards the 25 (send a letter of inquiry or appeal).

I say if he is eligible, get him a job in lieu of an offer (before NSD) anyway. If we don't think he's going to be a contributor (and use up a valuable 25 spot) then don't offer period. But if we need to bring something to the table a job is a good compromise. Worked for Landon and his girl friend (until he wailed on her).

But no... I've had no luck in finding out if it is moot in the first place.

Lol I didn't guarantee anything. I simply said that's the end game the coaches are hoping for and I think we have a solid shot at him come January when he visits. I'll never guarantee anything with recruiting. That's like a doctor giving you a guarantee that they're going to cure you.

I was joking. Judging from the down votes, I'm the only one who thought it was funny.

I see the period between the signing periods as open season. There are hurt feelings and new realities. You use that time to heavily pursue kids who maybe got left at the alter by their first choice, or who suddenly see an opportunity to play based on who you didn’t sign. I think you have to view the post- first signing period as Opportunity Season. Everything looks much more clear after the initial signing date. Thats why early signing day melts are pointless. You might be melting not even realizing it is your lucky day.

That's how I feel as well. After the 1st signing day, no one is committed anywhere. Everyone is open. It's a hard reset with a smaller pool.

Handy is begging to leave Auburn. I don’t see him signing there. It Just depends on how LSU’s board shakes out.

Hank South, from Bama Online, with the CB for LSU today. If I remember correctly, he was one of the first guys to predict Surtain to Bama last year.

I agree, but it is a time for the schools to reset as well.

"If you want to be part of this class and have a guaranteed seat, be onboard during the early signing period. If you decide to wait, the remaining scholy's and team needs get reanalyze and reissue based on our outstanding needs"

One of those CB's came from Hank South, a Bama 247 Mod. I know Tim Watts is considered the top mod for their page but I feel like its still telling that Hank put one in for us when he was "foggy" a few days ago.
