Skeptical about the whole thing. It’s going to be a wild ride. If the SEC, BIG 12 etc. are playing and the PAC, and BIG 10 aren’t, we could see 50% of those guys trying to get eligibility to play in the SEC or wherever. How could the NCAA turn down these guys opportunities to play? They couldn’t, but this will create a mess. Going to be really interesting to see. I mean imagine LSU getting a guy like Justin Fields, Shaun Wade, and Kayvon Thibedeaux or something ridiculous.

If he wants in, you absolutely have to take him. I just doubt he’d start the first few games over Brennan, unless Brennan isn’t all in.

Kayvon Thibodeaux should be required to transfer to LSU with a last name like that. Would fill a huge need as well

Getting a Heisman Trophy Finalist is a good thing not a bad thing.
What happens if we try to get Fields...then dont... hows that affect Brennans psychy... another wrinkle...

Brennan is smart. He knows that while college football isn't nearly as much business as the NFL it still is business. I imagine he wouldn't be happy but that he would understand, whats going to give this team the best chance to win, top 2 pick Justin Fields or him.

Look, if you don’t want to compete with and against the best then maybe LSU isn’t the place for you... this isn’t LSU under Les Miles. Also.... maybe just stay the frick off twitter? All these players trying to build a brand before they even become a football player... smh

Getting Fields won’t happen. Orgeron would lose all credibility for giving Myles the middle finger
Sorry to Myles and his feelings, but if you have the chance to bring in a Heisman finalist at QB, you do that.

While we're at it, go get the LB Parsons from Penn St. also, lets ride,

Do you really think the NCAA will let this situation happen?

If everyone is as afraid of litigation as it looks, the NCAA won’t have a choice.
Imagine being denied the ability to boost your draft stock because your conference sat out while others didn’t, and then the NCAA telling you that you can’t transfer and play at a school that is playing. Smells like a huge lawsuit.

They can't not let it happen. They will have to make changes obviously but it'll happen whether they like it or not.

I don’t know how the process looks but as the NCAA can you really tell these guys that they can’t play? It’s commonplace for athletes to transfer out after a coach gets fired.... why shouldn’t these guys get the opportunity to audition for the nfl just because the far left academia nuts that run their universities believe the world is ending?

Nobody said we only had one spot available... if ncaa opens this up we will have multiple available spots.
Teams would presumably still have to be under 85 scholarships, right?

It seems a lot of the big time players at programs that have shut the door on the 2020 season are working out the process with the NCAA to get their name in the transfer portal. I’m being told this will devastate some of these programs due to the mass exodus. I don’t want to get ahead of myself when I asked if we could possibly bring in another transfer QB from Ohio state I was told both parties would jump at the opportunity. For the time being we wait on the NCAA... but this season will look completely different in a months time.
that won't work. there is no way Fields could or should come here, and in a month learn the offense and jump in front of Brennan. It just isn't logical

I agree that was a bad move for Myles on twitter liking all of those posts about canceling.
Yes, there is only so much you can tell about that kind of stuff. I am sure though that Orgeron knows where his head is at. If he had concerns before that, then that won’t help.

I can here the racist spews from the OSU fans now that will cause the NCAA to grant Immediate Eligibility.

Vol, I doubt that anyone plays. You don't know the people behind the "pandemic".
