Spamming the board- does this forum want participation from other fan bases?

I follow recruiting closely and have a somewhat ok feel for the NIL stuff at Texas. I like LSU a lot but I'm a Texas fan and bring a Texas perspective. I like interacting on here with LSU folks that follow recruiting as well, but I'm not trying to just spam the board with a bunch of stuff thats going to piss yall off. I'm actually trying to give what I believe is our perspective.
Is this the right place to do it? The rant and the SEC recruiting forum are shitshows. Im not into the whole trolling deal.

What I meant by this is our staff is targeting Louisiana kids in a way we havent in the past. We covet them and are willing to place time and resources there instead of other places. When it comes to recruiting, we are most definitely coming for your throat.

This is basically what every opposing fan “brings” to the SEC rant. If you’re not Steve Sarkisian, Chris Del Conte, or a coach/staffer on the football team, I can assure you that no one here wants your debate or uneducated opinion. And I say that solely because I know that every UT grad thinks they’re God’s gift to Earth and so smart, educated, in the know, etc etc but it really doesn’t sound like you’d bring anything but your opinion and this isn’t the place for that

The idea that Texas just started targeting Louisiana kids is actually hilarious.
I actually lived in Austin for several years, I have a theory that the decline in the Texas program coinciding with Austin blowing up isn’t a coincidence. There’s A LOT of distractions in that city.

Its been a long time since we committed real time and resources to recruiting Louisiana. For a long time it just didnt make sense. We might pull a nice player here or there, but it was almost never a head to head win against LSU, and if it was it was a player yall didnt really prioritize.
Sarkisian has hired assistants specifically because they have Louisiana ties. Terry Joseph and Bo Davis are good examples of guys who have the Louisiana connections to know which players and families would even consider leaving the state, and they are recruiting these situations aggressively.
I can assure you its been a long long time since we have gone after Louisiana like this.

Your bluster is nothing new, we’re so rich blah blah. You’re also a prisoner of your own perspective.
1. We’ve got plenty of money, maybe not as much as Texas but can pay when needed. BK’s style at this point is to pay the players who have produced at the major college level first. Maybe that’s a good thing maybe it’s not but if we can have top 6 or 8 recruiting classes with a strong transfer class there’s no reason why we can’t win at a high level.
2. Your perception of the new status quo is going to change quickly as they’re going to start paying players from the TV money sooner rather than later which will narrow the playing field.
3. In a 12 team (or more) playoff world Texas and Oklahoma joining won’t make winning titles any more difficult for LSU than it is now. Sure the schedule will be tougher especially when we go to 9 conference games but an extra loss won’t knock anyone out of the playoff regardless.

Your point regarding current staff members is valid. Terry Joseph being from Marrero,LA is key to having an “in” with Wardell Mack…
Bo is a well respected coach with South Louisiana coaching relationships. LSU would be wise to pay attention.
With that said, Coach Frank knows the same folks so you won’t catch him off guard, we will just have to spend more time and resources defending our backyard

Just remember this board is only for LSU specific posts and people here get very triggered when you tell them someone isn’t a lock for LSU.
