I think part of our problem stems more from having so many insanely talented freshman WR's and Bama in need of WR's more than we are. Sure the depth would be nice, but does he really get much meaningful playing time here is the question.
Edit: as soon as he could there at Bama. He definitely could here but theres just too many unknowns concerning our offensive staff.

Imagining LSU having to defend Shazz, Anderson, and Law in a year is sickening

They definitely will take Law. Saban has been on him since jump street

In the portal era every in state miss is correctable. And every player has to be re- recruited. My stress level is much lower on an 18 year old when I remember there is a 21 year old out there ready to transfer in. Just fill the holes , have difference- makers at key positions, line up your new 22 every year and play. Bama can stockpile guys all they want but those kids will transfer out too. You can only play 22 at a time.

I mean, we have zero WRs committed for 2022.
Boutte will be back next year. Bech has proven he can be a playmaker. BTJ showed flashes of brilliance. Nabers as well.
Smith is gone. Hilton didn't play at all last year.
So that's maybe 3-4 guys next year we can rely on. Who's behind them? Doesn't seem like a lot of depth to me, much less elite depth.

Shazz is gonna be another Chase. Can't really blame him at this point. His primary recruiter was Joseph and he's now at Nebraska.

Weak group overall as far as depth especially if Boutte heads to AL to catch TDs with Bryce

Exactly how I feel. Just like the Ausberry kid they could transfer right back to LSU in a heartbeat.

If our best player switches Willy-nilly to our most hated rival, then I may actually quit watching college football. This shite is seriously off the rails.

Nowhere near chase coming out of high school! He’s good, but a tad slow… this has more of a hootie feel at the wr position imo.
Anderson is a different story in the return game.
Law can play offense but I’m sure if he ends up at bama he will play defense eventually.

Law
Word is that he won't sign on Wednesday and will wait until Friday to make a decision. I think this could be a BTJ situation from last year where Bama is the first choice but there isn't enough room for him.

I thought Frank Wilson owned N.O wrong.

LSU has had like one 2yr lull at WR in the last 20 years & that was only because Les Miles ran some guys off lol
On the 19’ they had chase, who Les wanted to make a CB & was once commited to frickin Kansas, and Jefferson a skinny 3 star with grade issues
WR’s grow on trees in LA and even the fall back options are really really good.

Bama signed 4 WRs last year and is signing 5 this year.
He's going there because LSU stinks right now. Until that changes, Bama will get anyone they want.

Love of state ought to mean something.
