If he gets a lot of steals we can call him the Gaza Stripper

Israeli Ginobili? Sign me up.

He can shoot.
He really can. He only missed two shots in the entire seven-minute highlight reel. And even then he got a second chance and scored.

I think they are trying to build around Thomas with these pieces. The team will go as he does offensively. We may have to win games with offense. I’m not certain the defense will be up to par.

Go look at the other teams in that league and see who his competition is. Lots of top NCAA players and ex NBA players. Antonio Blakeny plays there. He played against as good competition as he will face in the SEC. Battle tested.

Love this guy. Played against grown men and is a knockdown shooter. Fills a void in shooting department and he is a proven player yet only a Freshman. Really a terrific find

36% and a guy from a no name team? Who the hell are the Challengers? LOL, whatever

I think I read a scouting that essentially said as much. Lights out set shooter. Poor vertical, decent quickness with the ball in his hands, good upper body strength.
Basically he’s not a runner but he can finish on a cut and a good set/rhythm shooter. They are trying to capitalize on Thomas’s playmaking ability.

A ton of words to say the guy is a huge reach, can’t run the court, will be a liability on defense….what is McM’s identity? What is he trying to build?

Wasn’t saying that at all. He’s a shooting specialist who played professionally against players as good as he’ll see in the SEC.

The Israeli Pro League is better than the SEC. It is filled with grown men who have played at a very high level in major conferences. Anyone thinking this is a step down or a bad get is clearly clueless. Kid will immediately step into the #2 spot and is an absolute sniper shooting the ball

We will see….Im sure the guy will make some 3’s….it sure looks like he won’t have the same level of offensive intelligence and spacing at LSU as I see in the videos…I stand by my assessment

Two bad and uninformed posts. The league he played in is full of former college guys that had long careers at P5 schools. Guys that were All-Conference type players, guys that spent time in the G-League and even had stints in the NBA. The leading scorer in the league played four years between Texas Tech and Houston, and started every game for Houston when they went to the Final Four in 2021. He led that team in points and minutes. The second and third leading scorers in the league started over 200 games combined for Bruce Pearl at Auburn, for example. The second leading minutes man on Zippers team was a three year guy at Mississippi State and was an All-SEC selection. Averaged 15, 4, and 3 in the G-League last year. And because I’m assuming yall do not know, the G-League is a step up from D1 ball.
Zipper was third in minutes on that same team. All this to say, a 22 year old who had that type of success in that league is a huge get. A massive get. Not a reach, not a guy from a “no name team with no challengers.”
He will start opposite DJ and will be a good counter to him.
