What's wrong with the double layout? Stickable and clean. She always has a hop when she does the twist.

I never said there was anything wrong with it. It’s just that almost our entire bars lineup does the same lineup so it gets boring seeing it time after time, especially when most of them struggle with it one way or another (sticking, form, finding the release point, etc.)

That sucks for her. Hopefully she has a speedy recovery.

The article below gives an account of the struggle Konnor has dealt with since the loss of her Dad and Grandma.

Kiya graduated? She's still competing for next season, right?

Yes. Between summer classes a lot of athletes graduate ahead of schedule. She can work on her masters

Football season is around the corner so we will see some 24' recruits taking visits soon, plus fall camp will be getting started shortly.

Konnor and Shilese both look great. I’ll be interested it see if both or either make it to college. Especially if Shilese makes it to Fla. since she was supposed to enroll last year and still hasn’t really committed to a year.

Konnor would only defer one year. And I see no reason why not… you get a full ride scholarship for a college degree and you can still make money from NIL.

I don’t know why I’m so emotional. So proud of Konnor after all she’s been through.

Well deserved, consistency wins.

Extremely impressive for a lot of reasons between her dad, a concussion and illness she suffered right up to this event which she didn't have a lot of time to train for.

She also lost her grandma shortly after losing her dad (also to Covid). That girl has been through it all in the last year and deserves the world and more. So proud of her

Konnor did great - Shilese also looks awesome. I hope Valeri continues to work on her bars with her because that is really what is holding her back (and why it took two falls for her to best Shilese). She did look great and seemed relaxed throughout the competition in the arena, which seems an improvement based on Golden.

I agree! Konnor was nervous on her beam routine Day 2 and lost some of her score from Day 1 but was a trooper and stayed on the beam. I think this win will give her extra confidence needed in the competitions ahead. She is so talented and humble. I am thrilled beyond words that she chose LSU.
