She's a big name on paper, but based on her most recent routines, there's a lot of work to be done before her gymnastics is NCAA-ready.
I completely agree 100%. She has the elite difficulty but quite a lot of form issues. Even on bars which is a good event for hers for elite, she h...
I am fine with super seniors in lineup if they are the best options. Whoever is the best option should be in the lineup. If Kiya comes back and is top 6 on an event, she should be in there. What we shouldn't have are better routines sitting on the sidelines out of loyalty to long-term contributors, ...
Looks like Anaya Drayton retired from the sport. I saw people in multiple places guessing she’d go to LSU. She visited Minnesota also. Strange, I hope she’s not injured.
Wow, I'm shocked. Didn't see that coming. From her IG bio and recent stories it looks like she is still trai...
Some good training videos of bar dismounts on Instagram stories (so will disappear in 24 hours from posting). Featuring: Jeffrey, Kiya, Sav, Aleah, Konnor, Haleigh. Wonder if this is the top 6, though even if it is, it shouldn't be in that order. Aleah is still doing last season's dismou...

Yeah she is. I just looked at some of her videos etc and saw she was on Mustari's visit. She seems to have only started competing L10 last year. There is a family reason to join LSU but I wonder if other options might be more polished/lineup ready. This class is shaping up to have more L10s than...

I like all of it except the dismount, which looked a lot better when she was younger and probably a bit shorter. Now she flings it out. Think a full in/out would work better now that she has grown a bit...

Cowan with a 1.5, I didn't see that coming. The form in the air is good so it's a question of the landing. Vault is going to have plenty of options. Would like to see a full set from Coen eventually. Glad to see her out there since she's been out from competition for so long...

Something is really wrong if we aren't using Schoenherr on at least vault and bars for sure....

Jay has really knocked it out of the park with these pickups from the portal. His recruiting is really insane. Hope we use the talent wisely next season. ...

I've just accepted that KJ knows how to recruit and bring out the best in whoever actually shows up. OU will always be a threat, even with 'weaker' recruiting rounds. In other news, Kayla DiCello is deferring for a year to prepare for the Olympics....

I would be surprised if most gymnasts made enough money off NIL to pay their way through a fifth year. My sense is that the opportunities are available very unevenly ie those like Livvy or Suni may be making a lot but there is probably a steep drop off earnings off the top 10 highest earners (who wi...

Would definitely like to see Alyona back as well, as long as Jay is able to pick the best lineups based on ability. She hasn't had the best scores this year and I am one of those who is doubtful about her place in the bars lineup with this dismount, BUT we shouldn't forget that she has given us four...

There are some rumours going around that some of the Utah girls (Jillian Hoffman, Lucy Stanhope, and maybe some others) may be transferring. Wonder if we might stand a chance with any of them given the McCool connections....

I wanna say how glad I am about some of the smarter coaching decisions that Jay made before regionals. Haleigh's 9.950 on floor was the final deciding routine that got us into a tie-break. I think the outcome would have been totally different had she still been doing her 3 pass routine. Just so much...
I don’t know about Bryce on floor. She nailed that exhibition but has no real experience. It could be risky.
This is the problem with easing freshmen into the lineup. By the time they get in, we are already in postseason, and then there are legitimate doubts about whether the ...

I really love this team and have been an LSU fan since I first started following NCAA. The girls are amazing, they are doing their best, and the team dynamic seems very good (from an outsider's perspective). But I agree that I am not very confident about the team's prospects. Too many issues have be...
Understand everyone has to work hard but some people just don’t practice great and shocks you and performs better.
Yeah I feel the same way. Which leads to another question: why don't we use exhibitions? Quite a lot of other teams do. It would be a good way to see if eg Cowan is r...
