Anyone know Zoe miller’s status? I don’t think I’ve seen her training in any preseason clips. Really crossing my fingers she doesn’t have to miss another season or medically retire
I know, I’d love to see her and Konnor on the same team in 2027

I was watching thru a twitch stream and someone who seems in the know with gymnastics said Hezley may defer LSU until 2028…I hope she at least comes for Her freshman year 2026-2027….

Actually you can tell from social media that Emjae and Selena are friends. Emjae also has a former club mate at Florida (Skylar) as well as former elites she was on the NT with. It seems pretty done deal that she is going to Florida, unfortunately.
I looked more at social media after Selena’s snub of Emma Malabuyo at the balance beam awards at nationals and it seems like Selena’s issues are with this year’s seniors/5th yrs, not with Emjae’s sister or the current underclassmen.
It’s going to be harder to get good transfers with the COVID year 5th years gone but LSU should have as good a shot of any school. I hope Alexis comes back since she skipped her freshman year and barely competed this year.

I watched all three of those performances and the order looks right- let’s hope Florida uses up their sticks at regionals! They looked quite good on bars and beam. OU got some gifts on bars and floor but very solid on beam.

I’m not used to seeing so many 9.9s given out for unstuck landings across the board at regionals where there are 4 judges. Judges have sure relaxed relative to earlier this season. I think we should have no problem going thru on Saturday as long as not counting a fall.

Lincoln officially out for the rest of the season. I hope Konnor or KJ can be ready for floor in case any of the current 6 can’t go. Not sure who is #7 on vault with Chase and Lincoln out
Grad students are eligible if they haven’t won before, for example Audrey Davis this is her second year being nominated and she has a good shot of being a finalist again.

Agree with this last point- the AAI winner is usually the MVP of their team and a strong candidate for gymnast of the year in her conference. That applies to Jade but does not apply to Aleah this year. Jordan and Leanne have also been overshadowed by teammates at times this year (Selena and Faith have both beaten them). Mya Lauzon may be a dark horse with Cal’s rise and she will probably be gymnast of the year in her conference.
Also AAI takes into account academic standing to some degree (GPAs of the finalists used to be published). I don’t know the academic standing of the other girls but Aleah is one of the few on the LSU team who has not been on the list for academic honors. Just being honest here, I think Aleah has a better shot at another NCAA title than to win AAI!

Honestly if KJ and Kaliya are in the floor lineup seems like Aleah could use the week off even with it being against OU
