I noticed the leotard malfunctions but didn’t make a deal about it. It happens. Not a big deal.

I haven't heard anything or seen her in any of the recent training videos. I know she has something going on with her arm. The coaches were hoping she would fight for a spot on vault and floor. But I think maybe that is out since Rau enrolled early. Nibbs is not a great vaulter, but she has a lot of potential because of her power. She has to clean up her form. I think if Rivers, Johnson, Edney, Edwards, Rau, and Harrold all stay/get healthy, maybe they don't push Ryan as much with Nibbs being a possible backup.

Kiya Johnson does not win SEC freshmen of the week again. What the frick

quote:

SEC Freshman of the Week - Kentucky's Raena Worley, a freshman from Riner, Va., took third place in the all-around with a 39.250 behind UK upperclassmen Mollie Korth and Ella Warren as the Wildcats won their home opener over No. 8 Missouri. Worley took second on the floor with a season-high score of 9.900.

Kiya only won the all around against Georgia on the road with a 39.5250.

Kiyas scores- 9.800, 9.875, 9.925, 9.925
Raena- 9.75, 9.80, 9.80, 9.90

Selections clearly aren’t based on actual performances

I agree with you. Seems like the conference has it out for our gymnasts. I hope the LSU gymnasts use this as motivation. I know I always did when I played sports.

Not to take away from her because she’s a good gymnast in her own right but there is zero justification for her to get that award over Kiya

They gave it to her because she had one 9.9 score and finished 3rd in the AA?

It appears that SOME of the SEC awards are going to the teams that have not had much notoriety in years past. We definitely have the most outstanding freshman gymnast this year. It is troubling that she is being overlooked. She will be a standout all season.

Other SEC teams gymnasts will win individual awards through the season, LSU will roar into post season and four-peat as SEC champs which will be the springboard to another Four on the Floor.

The girls were looking good in the intrasquad today by their IG stories. Do you think they'll keep Alyona in the bars lineup for tomorrow? I wish they'd work some other dismount for Ruby, her landing is an almost-certain deduction. Also, Olivia's double arabian is looking good, can't wait for her and Sarah to hit their floor routines in competition and get the big scores they deserve.

Can anybody explain to me how Kai Rivers got a 9.775 on that vault? How much of a deduction is it to land slightly off center?

Is LSU ever gonna hit beam in the PMAC this year?

Also, thank God for Kiya!

Hate to say it but no one is beating Oklahoma this year as long as they don’t have any injuries or setbacks.

Also, I gotta go back and watch a few meets, but Arkansas outscored LSU tonight. Also Alabama just scored over a 197. Not sure how the scoring was for these meets.

The beam performance was a nail biter tonight as we barely scraped by Auburn with that low score. Edney looked good on the first three events. The Arabian is still an issue for her. Kiya Johnson is carrying this team which is amazing being a freshman.

The girls have their work cut out for them going to Florida next week.

Alabama and Denver scored 197+ tonight. I wanted to see us score in that range too.
