Wow Mustari has really cleaned up massively on beam (same for Wenners). Love her dismount sequence!
Please keep Kailin Chio in bubble wrap till next season. What a performance from her.
Ballou’s floor will be such a crowdpleaser!

Lexi Zeiss will be a very interesting litmus test for the coaches.
She's a big name on paper, but based on her most recent routines, there's a lot of work to be done before her gymnastics is NCAA-ready.
Kaliya and Kailin will be absolute game-changers, the same way Kiya and Haleigh were. No doubt about that.

We have to WIN it now on bars and beam. Have to stick the dismounts

For bars, I trust that Alexis will sort out her dismount issues over the next two weeks. Dunne’s DLO dismount has form issues and she gets hammered on her half pirouette on the low bar. Aleah’s dismount is too inconsistent.
Our weak link is beam IMO. OU consistently starts with a 9.95 from Audrey Davis and their scores build from there. Meanwhile, our first two beam routines are guaranteed non 9.9s. Kiya and Aleah also give up tenths in wobbles in almost every single routine this year.
Vault is vault. Gotta find those landings.
Floor - just keep doing what we’re doing.
Regionals showed that the only 198 teams are OU, Cal and us (not gonna count UF’s horrendous overscore). We’re right there if OU slips up.

Well KJ still scored better than those Y1.5s.
If we can't nail them like OU (which seems to be an issue after Bob Moore's retirement), then I'm all for focusing on stuck Y fulls.

Love Cammy but she has terrible technique on her vault. It's a miracle that she could even put it to her feet in her Utah days.

I hope they tweak Chase's floor to a 2-pass routine.
And I would love to see Bryce come in for KJ on floor.

Ballard also did a 2 pass routine at regionals.

THANK GOD Haleigh dropped her third pass. Can you even imagine…
We are not sticking those 1.5 twist beam dismounts, which is something I’ve noticed 90% of top teams are absolutely drilling.

The fewer skills, the fewer deductions.
Oklahoma, Bama and Florida are pretty much all doing it.

Judges probably got Bryant for her switch ring, which is always short.
That's poor skill selection on the coaches.

Floor scoring looks loose. We have to take advantage if we don't want to finish last in this session.
Florida's routines have 9.95 potential from 1-6.
We have too many throwaway routines in our lineups - Alyona on UB, Arenas / Ballard on BB, Arenas on FX.

9.95 for Blanco on beam.
Kentucky with big vaults. Florida sticking dismounts.

Florida with their weakest event out of the way.
Blanco just nailed beam. Surprised it wasn't a 10.

The change in Arenas' bars composition, and KJ's beam combo were my biggest positives from tonight. Finally some signs of good coaching decisions.
Now, do Alyona's dismount next!

Florida is also so tough to beat because Jenny Rowland is a certified judge. She knows what skills to do, what deductions to avoid, how to compose best-scoring routines.
We don't.

These floor scores are disappointing considering this is the time of the meet when things get crazy. Usually. I’m not able to watch, are they all just having minor landing issues that the judges can’t ignore?
Haleigh's score was surprisingly low, but her form on her final rudi pass has really regressed this season.
Alyona and Edwards as usual, not much landing control on their front tumbling passes. And both with poor leap series, especially the ridiculous decision to have Alyona do a switch ring 1/2.

They need to give Aleah another pass, that last one is just not going to work. Constantly under rotates it.
Yeah she's so worried about going out of bounds that she always under-rotates.
But we all know how stubborn Jay is...
FANTASTIC floor from Desiderio.
