I hope we go after Taliah Scott as well. She was really good this year although injuries held her back.

I dont think she is coming here or LSU would entertain, her social media is pretty telling she does not like LSU's coaches or players, liking a bunch of anti LSU stuff since the SECT.

I’m not sure but Arizona has had lots of issues keeping their HS recruits, essentially all of their last 2-3 classes have basically transferred out. Coach is crazy or the environment must not be great

Border crisis and she doesn't think Trump will be President next year.....will feel safer in Baton Rouge, believe it or not.

Anyway, that's my story

Recruiting will pick up when Angel leaves. I wonder if there is a lot of negative recruiting against LSU because of her. Again, just an opinion

I would think they’re pretty drawn to her brand equity and NIL opportunity being with her

I actually strongly disagree respectfully. Reese is a polarizing figure (like Kim), for better or worse. The thing is over the last year LSU has had a HEAVY surge with publicity, opportunities, etc and there is a lot of jealousy in the NIL era where certain teams/players are capitalizing much more on it than others. Its pretty obvious there is some jealousy going on between specific players and programs.

The only downside from this last year is because LSU is so heavily followed and under a microscope, they are also scrutinized much more than your typical team (deserved or not), and for some recruits maybe they dont want to deal with that and prefer a more quiet and under the radar environment.

But that is okay, the publicity, exposure and potential opportunities will be a turn on for a lot of recruits/transfers and for others they may not want to deal with that and thats okay. You just have to go after the ones who want to be apart of that type of environment.

We just have to get past the 2024 class failure was more on LSU recruiting the wrong players more so than people running away because of Reese/Mulkey. Like I mentioned in the post on the first page. Most of that recruiting list was a long shot to begin with and not realistic while the recruiting list was exceptionally small. They will move on and adjust as needed. We literally signed the #1 class and transfer class just over a year ago and Kim struck gold in her first HS/Portal class as well

I don't think we are that far apart in my assessment of the situation

Well said. Swung for the fence and missed on Strong, Edwards, Cambridge, and Koval. It’s not the end of the world recruiting the top 2 transfers last year and 4 freshman in the top 100 ESPN rankings (2, 7, 44, 74).

Even IF HVL and Angel leave you have:

Smith | Del Rosario
Morrow
Johnson | Kent
Williams
Poa | Velez | Richard

Plus the transfer portal.

The depth concerns are overblown this year. With Poole dismissed and Smith going down having 4 true freshman exacerbated the situation. But, it’s WBB, and the top teams minus UConn and SC have maybe 3-4 legit top players. LSU is still one of the most talented teams in the nation.

Del Rosario and Poa are the key for this year and will play a huge roll + the big 5 of course on repeating.

With that said if we don’t win it again this year, I could very easily see both HVL and Angel returning next year for one last run.

Your comments here prove you know nothing about the team this year.

You're far off. High level transfers would be more likely to avoid Angel's "shadow" than high schoolers that may not even end up playing with her and clearly the high level transfers didn't stay away.

We got the top two transfers last year in Morrow and HVL...when Angel was casting as large a shadow as possible.

bruh, you realize we got HVL and Morrow IMMEDIATELY after we won the NC, and Angel's shadow was larger than it ever was/will be?

Could be wrong but starting to think with transfer portal and players on team returning they were extremely picky with recruits for this class

nah, we struck out with top flight talent, swinging for the fences, now have to hope the portal will be good to us, again...

no way Kim would skimp on the more known quantity (HS recruits) vs. the unknown quantity (the portal), and what I mean by that is, you know EXACTLY who is coming out of the HS ranks... hell, by the time they are a SR, you've been scouting them for years... but there's no way to know what is going to drop in the portal from year to year, so it's much more a wild card, vs the more known commodity
